Every time this happens I just pull my support from the dev, and just pirate the thing.
This isn't going to keep anyone out, and will just inconvenience legitimate supporters.
The guy makes 5k a month, but is willing to throw away all the good will he has garnered in the last 3 years for a few more bucks...
Kinda sad T_T

Lets be clear about this, as people are writing crap and not stating the facts correctly without checking.

This is what occurs.

When you launch the new game it asks you to connect your patreon account, which opens up a browser link.
If you log in with your details, it then asks if you wish to permit KST to view your profile (or words to that effect).
If you allow, the browser states "CONNECTED". The game will not, unless you are a paying member of a Patreon. So just remember you can have a patreon account and connect it to KST, but the game will not allow you to save unless you are a paying member of KST through patreon. You can still play the game with the new content, but not save it.

Agree this is a bit of a ball ache, but lets all be clear about the issue and not write up crap to confuse things.

If a patron can share its \HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\KsTgames\The Twist, it might be a solution for the patron issue.

OK, can't play anymore, great. All my saves are gone now, since I can't load. I don't want to be "forced" kinda to pay just to save/load a game. Still nice game as always. Shout out to KST, keep up the good work.

well considering somehow Patreon has locked me out of my account and wont respond to my emails to the point I CONTACTED my Bank and put a stop payment, I would say that I could not support him if I wanted to , and cant a few other game makers I was. So Fuck Patreon and guess I am done with this game. Had enough grind and save issues with this game when it was fairly new. Good luck to everyone though.

I hope that THE TWIST will develop further in the future.

I was ready to come back after a year but now they locked the save feature through patreon. Guess I need to wait till there is a solution.

oh well that makes all better you can play the game but the x amount of hours you put in all gone you wanna save your game give me money :rolleyes:
