Yes
I tested both and the one you downloaded from the OP was the issue.
I've had no problems, other than one bug, with the one I point to in my signature.
Check the bugs link on that the problem was.

I'm having an issue with the ultra graphics? Skin on the mother looks odd? Running latest beta 0.44, fullscreen, cracked, etc. Also some of the UI is missing.. Any help would be appreciated!
