By that way of thinking, the game should also work for DOS users...
It could be any number of reasons why it isn't working for you now.
Perhaps an update to the Unity Engine that doesn't compile properly or uses DLLs that do not exist in XP.
Could be your DirectX installation is out of date and since XP is no longer supported you have to try and do it manually since Windows Update no longer does it for you...
It could even be something that only affects your computer!
As for the others who are having issues with saves...
Well the save system has had a major update so some bugs should be expected.
I had no problem loading my savegame from 18 and continuing.
If you are having problems saving a game it is most likely an issue with permissions.
You should not install these games on the C: drive especially if you are running Windows10.
Windows10 has a very strict permission system that restricts writing to the system drive outside of the operating system methods.
I run all these games off the system drive and never have any of these issues.

i know that the game is real time and i play on a standard laptop , but it was playable some versions ago , and now the framerate dropped heavily
For a few updates already i can't get the threesome at the pool. Julia just stays mad even though I think i've done everything i need to. At first i thought it was just a bug, but months without fixing this 'bug' convinced me that i just do something wrong. So any ideas? I talk to julia and i watch nightly Janice+Julia scene. Am i missing something?
Have you talked with Janice, warning that you have already talked with Julia?
My understanding was that it's necessary to do in order to see the lesbian scene, so i'd say yeah.
Perhaps try running it via OpenGL like the big_blunder that had its dx9.bat:
start TheTwist.exe -force-opengl <- put that line into an ogl.bat file and run it in the same directory where TheTwist.exe is stored.

weird bugs I've seen
inventory pops up all on its own and shows items when I go to Danielle's house

Again if you find bugs post it on his patreon page so that he can make a list and then put the fixes on the next version. He is not active on this thread and if he is he definitely lurks.
hello for some reason the cheat menu doesn't work for me, I'm in the hallway,I press and hold C + H and I also tried the crtl C+H method too, anyone else having this same issue?

don´t know. When this game was first released, I found it really good. But since 3-4 months it´s always the same. I find it really boring and repetitive.

In the hallway between the two upstairs bedrooms, press the C + H keys together (hold down C and press H).

have you done all the scene with Julia before?
42.Go to Pool and catch mom. Continue scene till the end (Julia catches mom giving a BJ to Jason).
43.Join Julia at pool and talk about incident.
44.Talk with mom in Dining room
49.After mowing a lawn "Ask for glass of water" will apear (need Emma 40+ score), she will invite you inside. While she was gone for glass of water click on TV (make sure you have spycam in inventory) to set up the spycam. Come back next thursday same way and you will get the video003.
50.Show video003 to Billy at school, he will recognize the person in video.
59. Make sure you have Video003 in inventory (you can download it from PC in Jason's room) and show it to Julia at living room (scene there she is sitting with her phone).
60. Catch Julia leaving her room in the Hallway and lie her about mom (to succed you need to have 80+ score with her).
61. Hide in the closet in her room and wait. You will see the scene mom-julia scene. Make sure you have finished scene at pool there she cathes mom giving BJ to Jason(42 43 44).
62. Come to Julia's room at 20-22 hours. You will find her standing near the window in a lingerie. There will be 50% chances mom to appear and join you. Make sure you have condoms and lube.
63. Go to bathroom while Julia in jakuzzi. She will offer to join her. Make sure you have lube in inventory also completed the anal training (39).
75. Repeat the evening scene at julia's room and have sex with her (if started a new game in 0.07 you can skip this step).
76. Catch Julia in living room crying. Comfort her and she will takes you to her room (having condoms is optional).
77. Repeat the FFM scene at julia's room (if started a new game in 0.07 you can skip this step).
78. Catch mom at pool, now Julia won't be mad when catches Jason with mom. And mom will let to fuck her. (condoms are optional).
If you have done all the scene and still can't act maybe the score for Julia is not enough to act the scene.
