Tired of games that force you into sexual content with every girl with no option to pick and choose as its just a slog to get through girls I'm not interested in. Like If I just prefer one or 2 girls im forced to go through 5 other ones as well. It's just annoying.

I know mine have been oft repeated, but I'll say it again just in case any devs or future game devs are reading this thread to hammer home the message:

-Cartoonish boobs or bodies-

its SO MUCH better to look at moderately realistic bodies than grossly exagerrated things that would obviously be implants in real life. For all the praise of games like Being a DIK (i enjoy it as well), maya or sage would look so much better in the bodies of someone like Layla/Valeria -Intertwined. BTW- when a girl with big or moderate boobs lays down, they dont stick straight up... just a pet peeve i see a lot of.

-Pervasiveness of milf/incest stories-

I'm not interested in the slightest. I get that others are, but it seems so wildly disproportionate to everything else. I just dont get this. I like the idea of corruption games, I liked playing "misfits", but I hated 12 days of christmas by the same author. I'm a guy. I'd estimate the vast majority of playerbase for these games are. I like women and seeing them do things. I have no desire in pretending I'm a woman. This isn't a slight on anyone else's preferences, just my personal complaint at how common this is.

Another pet peeve of mine is an overview that doesn't actually tell you anything about the game.

The overview should give me a decent idea what the game is about and what content I should expect to see before I download it. "Play as a [something something] and [something something] changes your life forever" does not do that. Please stop doing this. Even worse is when half of the overview is just "this is my first game and I'm trying to learn new skills and constructive criticism is encouraged and blah blah blah." Save that shit for the dev notes.
Tell me what kind of game it is. Who is your intended audience? Go beyond the tags and tell me what the focus is. If the "female domination" tag is there, for example, is it the core theme? Is it an extensive path you can choose to go down? Is it a one-off scene that happens to exist in what is otherwise just another harem simulator?

Don't assume your target audience just intrinsically wants to play your game for whatever surprises it holds. Make them want to play it and steer away those who wouldn't enjoy your kind of game.

Holding vaginal sex hostage is the big one. Sex is a normal part of adult relationships so i don't know why so many girls in VNs hold out for so long, especially when they clearly want it. Kylee from Heart Problems is one of the biggest offenders of this. I'm all for slow burn and realistic relationships this just isn't realistic. I've never met a girl that's willing to give a blowjob but not have sex.

For me, the biggest pet peeve is that most MC's seem to have somehow managed to get to the age of 18+ and have ZERO life experience, utterly clueless that a girl is flirting with them and being led by the balls by the main LI. It depends how pedantic you want to be.
The kind of flaming arrow portrayed in games/tv/movies where they literally just light a regular ass arrow on fire didn't really exist and wouldn't work. Actual flaming arrows tips were either a wick wetted with flammable liquid or were built like a cage to hold solid fuel. They were basically a harassment tool in siege warfare to set random fires inside city walls, diverting resources, causing panic, and just generally being a nuisance.

The corollary that always bothers me is if and when the mc and love interest agree that they're madly into each other, they'll kiss and then say something like "I need to control my lust"..... you're a bf/gf, thats not lewd, this isnt anime, normally that period of the relationship IS a fuckathon.
