For me, Rose (and Ada, and Penny) require too much suspension of disbelief to be enjoyable. I mean, these are all extremely attractive, working-professional adult women. Why would they ever fuck a teenager in the first place? After Naomi, I would say my preferences would be Danielle (who is just stuck in a shitty situation with a gay boyfriend) and Mira (who is... nice, I suppose, but too much of a Mary Sue).

Like, it wouldn't be all that weird for a 30-year-old to be in a relationship with a 45-year-old. Nobody would bat an eye. But an 18-year-old with a 33-year-old would be fucking creepy in real life. I've known men who ended up dating teenagers, and they were treated like lepers by their community. A teenager is simply not on equal grounds with an older adult in terms of mental maturity and life experience, so the relationship automatically gets this creepy grooming vibe.

Among my friends is a couple she's in her 70s and he's 15 years younger and they've been together since he was 19 years old. He was accused of exploitation. But in the end it turn out all good and they have children and grandchildren.Haha

Certainly they are unusual but, as creepy as it sounds in the abstract, not creepy at all in real life.
My problem with Rose has nothing to do with the age difference and everything to do with the fact that she is supposedly in love with Chris and planning to marry him. Yes, she is jealous of Ada but last I checked Rose hadn't called off the wedding so she could be with the MC nor has she stated that she and the MC are exclusive... So after being with the MC she could be going home to Chris.
I admit I haven't played her "path" so maybe all of that is wrong and she professed her love to the MC, broke it off with Chris, and doesn't sleep with her fiancé anymore.
All that plus a bitchy attitude and unlikely pink hair on a detective... Least believable character. Penny, the lecherous teacher stereotype, is more believable.

Yeah, that's fair. I'm not saying these relationships are always creepy, it's just that they will be perceived that way by society, and the reactions you mention are all quite expected. My wife is 8 years my junior, and we certainly got a few judgemental looks when we were younger.

To be honest, she really isn't my ideal preference physically, so in a weird way, it almost makes it easier for me to make a clean break from her (once our MC gets his closure) and pursue Rose/Danielle/Ada, etc. It's a shame since the romantic in me would have preferred to reconcile with her considering how much she means/meant to the MC,.she is all weird...ebony, yellow hair, green eyes...she does look like frankenstein's monster of sort

Getting back to Rose for a quick second, it's been a while since I played, but iirc she's only in her mid 20s (as unbelievable as that would be for someone to make detective that young). I agree the problem with her is less about her age difference and more about her emotional instability and not having a clear idea of what she wants anymore. That said, I still like her and she's definitely in my top 2 paths I'm playing first (with Danielle as the other one).

I second this... A story that you engage with, that has characters you like, regardless of genre or media...No reason to apologize or try to explain away your enjoyment. I'm pretty much done with the fuckfest games as most of them have terrible to mediocre graphics to go along with their lack of any compelling story.
Yeah, any cheating by the MC or with the MC pretty much invalidates a potential love interest. I am not expecting exclusivity but once someone makes a commitment they are no longer a potential interest for my MC.
Naomi just looks weird, I know the dev continues to defend the way she looks but I just don't see what appeals about her. Perhaps she's based on someone real? Total speculation of course.
Rose is preposterous... A pink haired mid-20's police detective who is "emotionally instable" makes me wonder who she fucked to get her detective rank. Her commitment to Chris needs to end, but I fear that if that happens it means that Ada will go back to Chris.
Honestly worried this whole story will end with the MC only having a real viable relationship with Naomi, Mira, or Danielle and that Ada, Penny, and Rose are just flings.

Naomi seems nice, from a personality standpoint, and she clearly was an important part of the MC's life especially as his world began to fall apart with what happened to his mom, but I don't get her 'look'. Is she supposed to be ethnic/biracial, or does she just have a really good tan?
I dunno, then again considering Rose has pink hair, I guess it's just the artistic prerogative of the Dev, and again, since I'm not particularly fond of her appearance, it just makes it easier for me to try and salvage the friendship while making a clean break and moving on.

Yeah, there are several scenes in the game with weird body morphs and posing issues, resulting in an Uncanny Valley effect. Unfortunately, they are most visible with Naomi and Mira

I wouldn't say she's unattractive cause she's not.. But as good as I think her character is its easy to admit that out of all the females in the game she's the least attractive, I don't know it's just the way the dev modeled her. In most scenes her face looks kinda weird which is odd cause none of the other characters have that rendering weirdnessBiracial, I imagine. Pretty much this. I absolutely love her character and if she looked a little different (really not digging the short, blonde hair color/style or even her face in some scenes) I'd probably be more invested in trying to win her back and reconcile with the MC. Honestly, I'd even take Mira over despite her obvious desperation and constantly 'trying too hard' to win over the MC with her neediness, which is just a turn off.
I'm pretty much in the bag for Danielle, Rose, Ada, and hell, even a little taboo clandestine relationship with Penny for good measure before trying a Mira/Naomi path.
