So now that we've established that my vision has not been compromised, and that there was no harassment involved, let's get down to the main reason I changed my mind...

A very satisfactory decision, I'd say. When I read about the idea that the third adventure MC would be Lorelei's son I raised my eyebrow a little because it felt it would empty the importante of the previous adventures and decisions. But I said nothing because one thing that really irritates me is when people try to steer the devs work to their whims. I make an effort never to do that and we were not talking about plot holes or errors or anything like that.
So I welcome your decision and, in my opinion, it will result in an even beter story.

She is in the lead at the moment, she is stunning, but there is something quite intriguing about Kasula that I can't shake. And if you get on Lorelei's path she is such a beautiful person, not the ice queen that you see on other paths. It's a very difficult choice for me and if it was real life I'd be completely screwed in making a choice.

Well, Kasula is also badass, bro, she can fight quite well
As for Lorelei - I would say, and it's only my opinion of course - you can be badass not only physically but also mentally, as Tak stated earlier - Lorelei is a brilliant strategist and negotiator, and you will be able to see it later in a game.
I guess I am a sucker more for cunning/wise characters hahah rather than physically strong)

This is going to be kept the same. However, what will happen is the MC's background will change based of the ending you choose in Tides of Succession. This means the MC may be a Prince, a Lord, or even just a commoner who's quickly ascended to the position of 'Captain' after enlisting with the navy. However, regardless of his background, the MC will still be a young, dashing, confident Captain in the Royal Adristanian Navy. I plan to only have a couple of scenes which change based of his background, the rest of the branching will come in the form of small dialogue changes. For example, instead of someone addressing the MC as "My Prince", they'll address him as "My Lord" or in the case he's neither a Lord nor a Prince, they'll just address him as Captain.

I like this solution, and by the way, some "big" games use this approach from the very beginning also, allowing you to shape the initial conditions of your playthrough, asking you what kind of past you want your hero and his companions to have.
For example, in Wartales you can choose your party to be farmers, looking for a better life or bandits, looking to escape the Guard or a few more different options that give different perks to your party.

Speaking of sequels... the MC of Part 2 has appeared for the first time on screen [...] Let me know what you think of him. Do you like the model?

Don't get me wrong, I don't really care what MC looks like, even if he has a black square on his face like in this one game, or if his face resembles a rat's face in that other game. And as far as I know, many people don't pay much attention to it either, as long as the girls are hot!
But overall I like the model, the only thing I would suggest is to make his face a little rougher if possible. He and Will from ToS have some kind of naive, childish expression on their faces and overly soft facial features that somehow doesn't fit with their roles as soldiers or pirates. Maybe it's just me, but that's the only thing I can nitpick to.

why not all 3 haha im making 3 different saves but nah I already decided since I first saw Lorelei she is my main LI and so far nothing makes me pick anyone else over her but I do like other 2 as well just not nearly as much.

I can't wait to see it on the OP because at the moment it's very hard to figure out the consequences of our choices. I have stopped playing and will return to this lovely VN once an official WT is published.

Tides of Succession was born when I asked myself what do I want out of an AVN. There are a couple of things I noted when first coming up with the idea:

• Monogamous Romance. I want people's hearts to melt into their chair when they play my AVN.
• Narrative. I want a strong narrative in which people would find intriguing.
• Choice. I want the player's to feel as if their choices are meaningful.
• Concise. I want to have a small cast of Love Interests so I can devote plenty of time to each.

Youre vision is like exactly what im looking for in avns, its like its tailored to my specific tastes and everything in your avn shows it so far.

I think your solution for the "canon path" is great now and while it will be a bit more work, im pretty sure it will help you avoid a kinda big backslash when the time comes. Instead the players will feel (even more) like their choices matter and are appreciated.

There are a looooot of avn players who get really really ... emotional over the LI they bonded with and subsequently dislike the other LI's over it (its ridiculues but it happens a lot) and these are a loud crowd haha.

About the designs of the MC's: The mc from tos is the first blonde(ish) MC ever who i think looks good in any avn lol, every single other one always looks super creepy.

To give some negative feedback too: I dont really like the design of MC of part 2, he looks too wimpy/thin/feminine for my tastes and i kinda think of a rat looking at his face (sorry sorry sorry ) or like some minor weak demon minion or something

I took it down for the release of Ch. 1.5 because I didn't update it. But I may have forgotten to update the FAQ...
I'm planning on releasing a full, official walk-through with the release of Ch. 2 and I'll add it back to the OP when Ch. 2 is released.

With your suggestion in mind, I made an alternate version of the MC for Part 2:

This was just a screenshot of the Iray Preview, so apologies for the poor quality of the image.
What I've done is I've made the the face, less young, (rather than older, there is a difference), I've added some stubble, a few scars on his left side and made his face slightly asymmetrical. Let me know what you think of him now .

The example render that I included probably doesn't do the best highlighting the MC's... masculinity. I'll have another look into the his body shape... at the end of the day, I want him to be muscular and fit, but not a wall of muscle - kind of similar to Tides' current MC's body shape.
