Hyphen "-" is only used for breaking words across the end of one line to the beginning of the next and for bullets in itemized lists. Ellipses "..." are the way... William Shatner uses... as Capt Kirk... to say his lines... in Star Trek... The Old Series. So they come in handy when your character is hesitating in speaking, or having trouble coming up with the proper words to say.

I'm a little surprised you came out as Irish. I would have pegged you as under the influence of Spanish or French origins for your quirky use of tense such as when you just used "I notices" instead of "I noticed" or "I notice". People with this quirk also tend to create plural forms for words that only have a singular form such as using "informations" instead of just "information".

Yeah I notices the "-" ". . ." change a lot. I usually use . . . as a long pause and - as a quick change or when someone jumps off subject for a second. Which i guess is wrong?

Okay, so I'm going to use a sexual slur to describe the plot of this "game," but only because the "plot," if you want to call it that, is so horrendous and disgusting. Please understand that no insult is intended to gay people of any stripe.

So the basic premise is, Mark is a faggot-in-denial who's scumbag enough to coerce someone he calls a friend into satisfying his sexual desires, then (*cough* bullshit *cough*) "cover it up" by claiming that friend is a trans woman. Everyone in this "friend group" can see that these rationalizations are bullshit; it's obvious in every early interaction with Elton, the victim in this "story."

And what does this group of "friends" do? Nothing. In fact, they all go along. Because OF COURSE somebody who likes Hawaiian pizza is obviously a trans woman (I'm sorry ... "tranny") who wants to suck men's cocks, right?

This story is so loathsome that it should be condemned as a hate crime ... or hate speech, at the very least. Had there been one ... ONE ... actual choice that allowed the tables to be turned on the abominable faggot blackmailer who starts this whole series of events and turn HIM into a sissy cocksucker, this might have had some value as a game, or at least as a story. But since it's a "simple story with no branching paths about a group of guys that help their friend realize that he's really a tranny slut deep down," it turns every character involved into a complete asshole. I find the entire thing completely reprehensible on every moral, ethical and worst, storytelling level, and it has, quite frankly, severely prejudiced me against any further offerings from this author.

In short, don't bother with this collection of hate-speech bullshit.
Hi there,
have you replayed the story as Elton/ Ella (sorry, the "victim"?) I would recommend it. it shows that the truth depends on the POV as Obi-Wan Kenobi said.
the only hate-speach i can see is your post here and before on tfgames. shame on you. i didn't know that "tranny" is a slur (like insult? didn't know slur either) too as i'm not a native english speaker and thought its just short for transsexual. learnt something. happy.
If "tranny" is a slur what about "faggot" and "sissy"? you use them as they were normal words. i would call them insults myself.
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

greetings

EDIT: happy to see the dev getting some constructive feedback here. does this game return to tfgames?
I think this is an interesting Idea to show how things depend on the point of view. so i can get over the point that the PC in the first part isn't doing anyhing to help. so for identifying with the character the second part was better for me.

keep it up. lokking forward for more.

In England, a 'tranny' has always been a slang term (not slur) for a transvestite (crossdresser). In my experience it has been used this way accross the entire country for many, many decades, I have never in my experience in my job role (working with transgender people) or in the kink/fetish world I am involved in, ever heard or seen it used to describe a transgender person.

Maybe I am out of the loop with the modern, quick paced, fast changing world we live in today and it is now being used to that effect? I dont know, would anyone like to inform me otherwise, I would be interested to know.

P.s. 'Do you wanna fag, got a spare fag, do you wanna twos-up on that fag, giz us a fag mate'
Yes in England, you still hear this every day, they are all things you hear around people who are smoking 'fags' (cigarettes).

Hi,
Trouble is that younger people tend to rewrite everything according to their own beliefs (of the day) - new words appear - old words get new meanings - or are forgotten. I f you had the fact that "English english" is submerged by "American illiterate english" you end up exactly in this situation in which nobody really knows what words actually mean today (and whether or not they are "offensive").

That's why the Dev chose to change a Title that might not have been considered "offensive" a few years ago.
(might even been considered funny or humorous as it was intended as a pun on a movie title)

Times they are a-changing...
(if anybody still remembers who bob Dylan is...)

I have, but because I don't identify with Ella and because I had already read the story from another perspective the impact was greatly diminished. Hot videos but way less immersion in the second half.
Totally fair criticism. For what its worth the MC being not necessarily likeable is intentional. This is the first of a 3 story arch that sees him go form Nice little nerd boy at the start of this game to "nice guy" by the end. In game 2 he gets a taste of power and starts to abuse it. Then in game 3 he gets a big dose of power and in that game there will be choices that allow you to go full on Piece of shit or to pull back etc.

Oh, if that's how "-" works I'm defiantly using it wrong. I always use it like "hey this is my friend Jane- shes single by the way, and this is my friend Sarah." Almost as an aside or a jump in subject.

. . . The notices thing was a typo lol. I meant to type noticed. I'm a native English speaker, and am actually comparatively well spoken (I used to even read pages of the dictonary every day when I was in school so I could sound smarter in conversation). It's just when it comes to writing it down that it all goes tits up on me lol.

Thanks so much, the idea of perspective being important was exactly what I was going for I'm glad you picked up on it. Just cause Ella is shy and nervous doesn't mean she can't enjoy being slutty too lol.

The game won't be back up on TFGames but not because of the title. The site doesn't allow non interactive stories (100% my fault, I got over excited to share it and didn't read the rules.)

"Trap" started out being used by anime fans to describe male characters who look female. The trans community tried and failed to coopt the word which led to the American left seeing it as a slur. To this day there are still people on anime and porn sites that kick up a fuss when they see the trap tag because they're convinced it's a slur and refuse to change their mind. Some people just want to be offended and are best ignored.

why would we coopt a word we hate?
Someone once said the best disinfectant for bad ideas is sunlight.
Hating 'words' is a waste of your time and energy.

I would rather someone use the words they want and then adjust myself to that.
How else would I discover that someone doesnt like me because I am female,
a female supremacist or a lesbian?

I dont like to be secretly disliked or hated thanks.

Agreed on the esily offended needing to be ignored. As we can see from mainstream society, bad things happen when you listen to the loudest and most ignorant voices in the room. I love the word trap and it needs to be used more frequently and not less.

This is actually correct (well, almost correct "Hey, this is my friend Jane — she's single by the way — and this is my friend Sarah."); it's called an , used for interjections and parentheticals, among other uses.

This story is amazing. I hope you do another one. Your writing style is great and really hits the mark. I hope you continue to make tgirl, crossdresser and alternative style games. I don't mind that it is a visual novel style. I think it works not having arbitrary choices and just allows us to enjoy Ella's path and the enjoyment she brings to her friends. :)

This entire post is just ... mistaken, at best. Hyphenation is NOT ONLY used to break a word at the end of a line. It's ALSO, and much more importantly, used on compound (multiple word) adjectives, in other words, adjectives in which one or the other of the words used won't complete the description by itself. For example, a fast-paced escape isn't just a "fast" escape, and it isn't just a "paced" escape; the latter wouldn't even make any sense. It is a fast-paced escape, and thus the descriptive words must be hyphenated.

Similarly, using ellipses to indicate a pause in speech or thought is absolutely not their primary use; in fact, it really isn't even ACCEPTABLE usage. That's what commas or double hyphens, the em-dash, are for. In fact, the ONLY acceptable use for ellipses until VERY recently was to indicate missing text in a quotation, and that's STILL their primary use. Recently it's become acceptable to use ellipses to indicate an INCOMPLETE thought or statement, but even though it's become popular among the uneducated in recent years to use ellipses to indicate hesitation, it is absolutely not acceptable use among those who've even taken and passed a FRESHMAN GRAMMAR COURSE IN AN ASSOCIATE'S DEGREE PROGRAM.

I know this because I recently took (and passed, with an A) a freshman grammar course in an Associate's Degree program. So kindly quit spouting popular myth when you don't understand what the rules actually are.

This was a warm up to Sluttown. Odds are good that you might find Ella deciding to move there after she found out that MC set up shop at his home town uni.

I feel you are swimming up river against a flash flood here :)

You are probably the only recent graduate who might have Strunk's book on their shelf and a passion for sentence diagramming.

I may have had 5 years Latin, 5 years French and 2 years German in a college prep, but years of forgetting more computer languages than most people learned, constant exposure to English, Chinglish, Ruglish and yacc parsers for jive speak have shredded my brain. They say English is a living language, so who am I to say whether these kids standing on my lawn are right.

*Yawns* that "recently" was over a decade ago. I am categorically *NOT* a "recent graduate," I'm nearly sixty years old, and I'd be willing to bet I've forgotten more about English grammar than you ever knew. I mentioned the Freshman Associate's Degree course simply to demonstrate that I knew I was right ... because my professor and I had many conversations on what was correct grammar or punctuation (the loss of the double-space after a period STILL annoys me), but we never disagreed on hyphenation or ellipses ... though we had a few conversations on what actually constitutes a compound adjective, I must admit.

In any case, please either LEARN the rules of grammar, or quit pontificating on them as if you understand them.
