ehh, that heavily depends on how good the animator is. Some are really good at hand animating things. But yes, most modders would not make it look as good as a tracked animation.

With the amount of effort and required know-how. Why would they mod a barebones game instead of making one from scratch? I liked the concept, but the stench of asset flip never left this project. Even with the "unique" cooking minigame and the hot ladies. This really was just a "so bad that it's good" game, where you could see a nipple or have sex every now and then. Nothing more, nothing less.

covid killed the game. when they had to shut down no one worked on the game for 1 year. some of their own developers caught covid. last i heard a developer even talk about this game during summer 2023 on patreon. this friday will confirm it's abandonment.
the stupdiest thing they done was to work on cooking, and hunting, and not what people, buyers and supporters wanted. sex! during summer I was told if this update was to come out, it would have a new girl and she had ntr scene.
but this small 3-5 man team working on new guns, scopes, cooking, hunting and vehicles was a very dumb idea. also that new map that was shown on jan 19 was HUGE. another dumb idea to add a new vacation area to take the girls to.

Yeah, this game is definitely dead. I liked the concept and models, but it's next to impossible to actually contact the developers. Musta took the money and run
They just released a dev progress report today on Steam, the game isn't dead yet!

They have stated that the next update will come in the third season (their words), so when winter rolls round again and there is no updae we can be pretty sure that this game is dead. If there is an update this year it will remain an open question at this point.
However, the things they have said they are adding are both interesting and weird. Interesting includes things like a Date system and a Photo system where you can get the girls to pose for photos. Weird include AI traffic (with the option to have one of the girls drive) and the train system (where you can apparently try to chat up the randomly generated NPCs)

The only thing that can redeem this game is if they actually have good VAs. Like I am pretty sure 95% of the fanbase can care less about the new AI traffic system, they are just bloating their workload + a new girl even when they didn't finish the main 3 girls is pretty comical.
I just want the current game finished... any extra girls and whatnot can come later.

You're supposing they want to redeem this game instead of just using it to milk and rip the naive seduced by the pretty art.

Considering they are based in Taiwan and use the Chinese New Year, it seems they are planning to update us once each year around late January to early February if they don't have a playable update. I speculate they (or at least the lead) looked at some big companies and saw they tend to have an update cycle of once or two times a year (earnings tend to be put out in Q1-4 however) and are following that where they will do a "big" update ever February ish. If they managed to get a playable build out in aug-dec this year I will now be pretty convinced they are just slow as a snail in dev time due to either not working 100% or doing a bunch of unnecessary stuff (like adding trains) and other things that may not even get added instead of working full on the features that are already there. Or even worse, they are doing both, working like 20h/w and adding features no one is asking for.
And not that I saw anyone here comment on it, but a bunch of people on Steam questioned the DLC. For that, I would say there is a high chance of it being the promised NTR/swinging content they talked about like 4 or so years ago. In case someone was wondering or comes here thinking about it later.
