The last official communication that I can find is from January this year. Still pretty bad that it was that long ago though. Actual releases are one thing but simply communicating what you're up to surely doesn't take that much effort, right?
I would agree normally, but they did include more info in the past. But they got a lot of shit in the Steam comments, on Patreon, and here then. (not that I think they were here, reading our comments) So after a while, they started to reduce the details, and then finally only do 1-2 updates on Steam per year. They were somewhat active on Patreon but got a lot of shit when they did not put out the 18+ update in what the community thought was a timely manner. After that, they more or less stopped replying. So they were stuck in this "Damned if I do and damned if I don't" situation, they should have more updates than they have currently even if it's not monthly, but even when they did give updates they got shit, so I guess they got annoyed and stopped since they were met with shit on their faces regardless what they did.
not come soon...cause i don't know what happened from devs team for such a long time. but there's a newer version in developing state leaked out on internet for a year ago. i don't know why they kept it in secret and stay in silence but by far the update was all around teacher and new npc coming to your BNB, the one will fill in the last emty room. its also introduce motorshop with new character and new predator (bear) with new weapon and fishing gameplay. but it never release... been waiting for 1.5 year and not even slight communicate.
Those are SO minor. It's only shoot things for money. No hunger, no thirst, no health (iirc, not sure if that one singular wolf could kill you), nothing else.

still can't interact with Emily or Vera..but, I guess that's normal
every update but the first took longer than one year (the first was like 8 months) so I would only consider this game truly abandoned at like 2 years or something like that. expecially since the last update, they said they were reworking a ton of the core of the gameplay. So if they are reworking stuff that took them half a year to a year each to make, then it should take maybe 3-6 months per thing, then they need the new content with Emily which will most likely take another 2-6 months given their track record. So since they are reworking at least 3 systems and adding Emily, I would say at least 15 months but more likely 24+ months. And 2 years is in March, so they still have time left til then if we just go by their track record. Now this is just my speculation and nothing to hold any breath over.
