They should at least post a progress update on their Patreon account to let people know they're still active. Their last posted update on there was over six months ago.

how come he's completely radio silent on f95 then
Probably don't like how trashy F95 threads can get. Let's be honest, the majority of F95 are people that don't contribute a cent to a game, yet DEMAND a religiously strict update schedule, and get extremely toxic when the game they have pledged approximately $0.00 to is running behind schedule. Look at this thread for example. I (a patreon supporter and Discord member) have posted in this thread several times to say that the game is still being worked on, and page after page of people come onto this thread to all say the same thing: "Where update?" "Why no new version?" "Dev scammer?"

I'm not sure if any of you know this, but there's a literal WAR happening in dev's home country right now. (Assuming most here are from the US) If China invaded America tomorrow, do you think that developing a porno game would be your TOP priority?

I get your points and even agree with some of them, but hear me out:

We haven't contributed because many of us either can't or we're very cautious after being burnt with other projects, particularly the latter imo.

There's plenty of projects that look very promising and end up abandoned around here, or turn out to be something else than promised (see Fallen Doll: Operation Lovecraft and their gacha, online-only, sex gallery), or devs that string people along with nothing to show for it (see Nonoplayer and his Tentacles Thrive game that hasn't had an update in longer than Too Much Light and the dev still makes 4k+ per month on patreon posting about how this and that impacted the project, or how he's trying AI tools to improve the workflow or how he's designing whatever). As such, since there is no actual promise of delivery and no consequence for closing up shop, and no finished product, what incentive do we have to keep supporting?

It's not our job to develop and maintain interest in the project. I'm fairly certain that the first patrons or supporters of any kind appeared after there was at least a glimmer of the project, the first demo version or such. Without subsequent versions, it's only natural that our interest fades over time.

I myself have bought games that I first tried from this website, but being able to buy them from an actual store such as GOG or Steam lends some extra credibility to the project, even if unfinished so until then it's on him to convince us and radio silence isn't it. At this moment in time I can't say there's much to support, I like the game and hope it eventually continues and there's something to buy at the end of it, but right now all things considered (war included in particular) I can't tell if adding my money to the mix would have any impact.

As a side note, if it is about money, the dev could have posted where else to find and support him and I don't recall that happening (correct me if it did, I'd be glad to be wrong on this one). The profile here is limited (not everyone can view his), on LoversLab where he also has an account he hasn't connected since the 8th of Dec, no posts on patreon (even if they block payments to Russia now), or his reddit, and hardly anything else comes up on google aside from a myriad of links to shitty websites sharing his game for some ad revenue. What am I supposed to do? Go looking for him to give him money and hope it helps?

</rant>
Sorry for the salt, tough times all around.

that's one thing, making literally a SINGLE post to say that this game isn't totally abandoned from the dev lends more credibility than one middleman from a discord that's totally closed to supporters only, posting your own game on f95, and then not tell anyone about anything despite explicitly sharing your game on a reasonably sized porn game website doesn't make a lot of sense to me, I think it's a bit of a strawman to talk about toxicity when such a bare minimum like "hey we're still making this" post isn't even made, all it takes is like 10 seconds.

Not contribute a cent to a game? If developers choose Steam, itch, or DLsite, they will not be unpaid.
I was once scammed some money without receiving any programs by a developer who made BDSM games. Of course, according to Patreon's terms, this is voluntary funding, they have not promised anything.
