so instead of working on scenes, he ends up wasting time on...what was it again? titles?
these titles better be useful at some point and not some pointless decorations

5 days (yeah, sure) picking titles, that's some Mark Twain level writing stuff.

...i trully hope that patreons aren't complaning as mutch as ppl in f95 id hate to see them compromising to the *reasonable* yet relentless lack of patience of ppl and start relasing floors with 3 scenes and 10 mins gameplay. just for the sake of faster releases. i can't argue that it has indeed be to long but.... back off from the nagging for this release at least o.o in the long run we will only benefit from it (y)

Personally I disagree. As I've told them, I think having a clear idea of what you plan to do before starting to work, and then sticking to it, can only benefit this game.

Sure, more scenes are better, but this update was originally meant to be a sign of life from their part, and so far it's missing its mark completely. Now let's say that Koda would have given more tought to the update before starting to work on it, would we have gotten less content? I doubt so.

I think he probably would have taken an extra day to plan out the general backbone of the update, then arrived to the same conclusions he did now (that he wanted extra content), and decided to separate the update in 2 parts, just like he did now but with 2 differences:

1) he would have respected his first goal of giving signs of life.
2) he would have been more organized while working, since he had a clear objective in mind. Meaning less awkward changes mid-project, better and easier communication with the supporters, and probably even a slightly shorter development time overall.

It seems like you don't understand the true reason behind all this "lack of patience". We can wait all you want. But we cannot wait when you set a date, then change it at the last minute again and again (how many times now?).

If I'm not mistaken, it's the fifth time for the April May-ish almost June cleaning update. And I agree, it's the bait and switch that gives birth to the negative backslash and by the looks of it, for discord people to make Koda a little feisty, it seems it's taking it's toll on them.

What the White Knights of this forum don't seem to understand is that we all are perfectly fine waiting 5-6 months for an update. What we are not fine with was that this update was planned for February and it is nearly June. We are fine with the wait time, we are not fine with the excuses, delays, and straight up disrespect they are giving to us with these false delays and getting our hopes up again and again.

You also said that in the long run we can only benefit from backing up with the complaints, and that's the part I disagree on. Kinda.

I understand what you mean, and I belive it's the same reasoning made by the people on Discord, but I belive feedback when well expressed can help improve. And I think the delays proved that there's a lot of room for improvment in the way ToT is developed.

Don't get me wrong though: I've talked to Koda and I appreciated some things he said, so it's not like I disagree with everything he does. He seems passionate and well meaning for the most part, and he does reason very well on some aspects, but when you are 13 days of delay in and decide to "add more content", then maybe something needs to be changed.

While there are a few exceptions a lot of the complaints are very fair. Almost nobody is complaining about the quality Bo and Koda deliver. But right now we are getting an update that was planned in February (maybe) in June.

Not only that but the "smaller" update has also been split in two because it was too big and we don't have any idea about the progress on floor 7. While I appreciate that they try to keep improving and adding stuff, it has gone a bit too far right now. If they improve their time management (or at least communicate more) almost all complaints here while vanish.

I rarely post on here but I felt like this is a pretty rare case. I agree especially with all the posts above me, regarding content quality and the original release date. As for all the complaints, I find them quite justified at this point. It's hard to comprehend how any patreon would willingly support the developers after this abomination of time management disguised as 'overambition'. At this point I assume the main reason is the support amount being a low threshold.

Recently I cancelled mine as it's the only thing I can do to give out a (miniscule) sign. When you consistently fail to honour your commitments towards your fanbase and financial supporters, you show a huge lack of respect towards them while they've shown incredible patience, trust and loyalty. Any human with some sense of empathy would understand this. I don't understand why the developers cannot. What's the use of a schedule or plan when you constantly make new ones on the fly? Just stop giving any date and perhaps show progress or teasers.

not to excuse the delay or anything and maybe its just personal experience but....arn't delays like pretty much "normal" for most of these small porn game devs?
as i said in my experience almost all devs have almost constant delays on most updates ranging from small delays to months of delays

I still don't get how some people are so rabid to defend these guys?

One delay? Ya sure Ok, that's fine take your time dude

Two delays? No problem rome wasn't built in a day

Three delays? Hey, I can live with it!

But fucking 8 or 9 delays? With no reasons specified other than "lol need some more time xD"???? Well at this point the little bit of time they said they needed has well and truly passed at this stage. Like having 1 or 3 delays is fine and is very common with projects but to go from original release February to fucking June just shows there is a serious measure of incompetence somewhere in the dev cycle.
