I'm curious about your method for selecting pictures; do you write the story, then try to find suitable pictures to match what you wrote? Or do you have a rough idea, find pictures you can work with, and then write the story around that?
Well, it is a bit of both. The story always comes first but I have a Transfigure media folder that is about ~4 gigs or so itemized by character. I intend to include all of it eventually. This allows me some core items to either write around or incorporate as is into something already written. I do a mix of both. Usually I write first and media is secondary / added in a round pre editing/ play test.
It can be a bit frustrating sometimes with finding stuff that matches what I am writing. For example on the Damien route I have so many images that are close but they are clearly significantly different than what is described on screen if you have an eye for detail. I generally left these areas blank until I find better fits. I know there is enough Piper scenes they exist, I just don't have time usually since my focus is on writing.
Then (if I have time), once I have a scene finished I will try and google some flavor images like restaurants or a pub. Occasionally I get a video or something I think is hot and will try and include it and often I edit the work to match the video or pic as much as possible. Sometimes to leads to awkwardness, other times it seems to transition smoothly like how I moved Taylor from the bedroom to living room (couch) for the anal scene to fit a little Caprice video I had. I always try and use her if possible. Which brings me around to the last thing I want to mention: I am going to add many more pictures (and updates >caprice) and more media to existing scenes especially in areas that go for many clicks without a pic or are erotic instead of story focused. There will also be frequent popup links and the like.
One of the top complaints about the game I get is it has too much text, so I am mindfully trying to update as I go along. In the latest update I added media to the very start of the game just so people can't claim they clicked 5 times for a pic of a university or something lol.
