I've tried using Translator++ (it has multiple translation engines but sadly no DeepL support maybe because to use its web api u need to be paid user) since it has now Kirikiri game engine support (but it's in early stage and there are some bugs after translation export) to make edited MTL but it was so slow for me coz mine knowledge in japanese = 0 and my brain just deny to understand any text without spaces :D.

P.S. I've just made interface translation but it need to be tested except main menu.
Good! It's nice to see it coming forward! I'd like to see your interface translator, but where to I put the file you uploaded? In what folder does it go? (EDIT: don't bother anymore, I've figured it out.)

I'm about 20% done (I've just started 01_04_h.ks; there are still 12 more files to go, some with a lot of text). I've also changed a little your translation of InputName_Z.ks from the data/src/ subfolder. When I'm done with everything, I'll compress the files with 7s and post them here (I suppose there's no need to upload anything other than the translated files).

I'm a big fan of DeepL (both translation algorithm and results). I'm mostly using their online free translator as the start for the translation of every line of dialogue. What is Translator++, by the way? Is it the program in the screenshot you attached? Is it the downloadable DeepL app?

It's actually fun doing this -- I'm enjoying the story, and Mariko is just so nice you wish you could give her a hug. Maybe I'll go on doing this after this game is translated, with other similar NTR games. Is it difficult to expand the scenario folder from the .xp3 files?

As I said earlier I was going to take interface translation from some other translated Atelier Sakura game so I've taken it from that one https://f95zone.to/threads/lendable...e-and-her-one-lie-final-atelier-sakura.31815/ (from patch.xp3) with a little adaptation for this game.

No, Translator++ https://f95zone.to/threads/translator.22732/post-3736208 is a tool to make translation for RPGM, Wolf RPG editor and Kirikiri game engines but for last one it's not best solution at this moment (it changes translated files encoding at export but I solved it by editing one line in kagParser.js file but also it can't handle names in [] though in some cases it maybe good thing and also after export it produces just blank text screen in some of dialoges it's not big bug but a bit annoying...). So this one for me is good to make text translation with multiple translator free engines and then copy it manually with Notepad++ or similar text editor app and sadly it doesn't have DeepL support (it actually has Textractor but u must be paid DeepL user and activate it in extentions).
DeepL app is here (it has limitations for free users but it's more useful than online because can translate text from buffer but clicking Ctrl+C twice).

To unpack .xp3 archieves I'm using this tool (u must unpack .xp3 files in data folder making new folders there as file names of extracted .xp3 except data.xp3 since there are already will be folder data created earlier).

Some other that seems to be untranslated yet Atelier Sakura (I think they do NTR only?) games:

This one looks interesting but sadly without DL. I found some shitty site with awful rapigator and uploaded_net links but dunno if they even legit ones so at least if somebody could check them and then reupp it to something like it would give more chances that game will be translated I think...

I downloaded it and it's legit, actually I'm playing right now using Visual Novel Reader, it's MTL but I understand a little bit of dialog using my common sense and I could say that the sex scenes are sizzling hot even with the MTL dialog how much more if it's properly translated not to mention the beautiful CG renders

These are all quite interesting games, but some deviate from the "loving" NTR line that you find in PBMW 1 & 2. I admit I love the kind of NTR in which the husband is happy and fully supports his wife's escapades, often telling her how thankful he is for her extranconjugal activities.

If I do more translating after this game, I think I'd go for something like the Marina's Report series, of which only the first game has been translated, if I'm not mistaken. What do you guys think?

In PBMW1 it's a heavy ntr, and I don't think husband is happy about what happened but in this game it's pure netorase because Mariko will not cheat anymore if MC doesn't want to anymore in PBMW1 Mariko is having an affair with her boss without MC's consent and refusing her husband to have sex, it's very heavy for me (Imagine your wife refusing you all the time with many excuses but the truth is she just want to have sex with someone else Ouch :( ) and in this sequel it's like Mariko is changed

It's great man, it's your decision , we are lucky enough that you're doing this for free , I should be grateful

It IS fun, I have to say. I LOOOVE languages (believe it or not, even more than I love femdom or netorare), so the chance to get more involved with Japanese is very tempting all by itself; and when we get stories with the kind of fetishes that make me go awwww and doe-eyed, then it's win-win. I just wished I could do this faster, but I have a lot of other things to do, so I'm spending only one or two hours per day on this.

I saw it somewhat differently. Mariko did cheat on Yasushi without him knowing, and all the little signs about him not satisfying her and she kind of avoiding sex with him are sad to watch; I also had a feeling of anguish and hoped something would happen... And then something did happen! When we get to the confession scene, Mariko is very apologetic, almost cries, asks for forgiveness... and then finds out, much to her surprise, that Yasushi is turned on by what happened, by the details she tells. Her tone shifts, she becomes much more playful, and Yasushi has a kind of revelation: he actually likes what she did! He's happy she's having an affair with her boss! It takes him some time to understand that, but eventually he comes to accept it. By the end, Mariko is not only having sex with her boss, she's also having sex with her husband, and their communication has improved a lot. He forgives her, and supports her affair, much to everybody's happiness.

All in all, I find this very heartwarming. You see, what makes me sad at the beginning is not that she's having sex with her boss, but that she and her husband don't talk. At first it's like they're two fish in separate aquariums: they see and talk to each other, but not about what's really important. Every time they failed to understand obvious signs, I felt really bad for them. But then... everything changed! They did find a common language, a tunnel between the aquariums, and changed what was wrong: the secrecy, the hiding, the lack of trust.

After that, Mariko has sex with her boss right in front of him (he's actually shackled to some kind of BDSM contraption). It's a scene full of passion, and in which she even makes Yasushi come so that she can have her lover come inside her (he had promised he would let her do that if he, Yasushi, also came) -- wicked and cruel, right? But as her lover leaves, he tells Yasushi she was on the pill... which shows her consideration for her husband. She did it because she knew it would please his fetish. I was deeply moved when, after Mariko's lover left and she fell asleep, tired after so much sex, her husband Yasushi sat next to her bed and started stroking her hair, looking at her face and admiring how beautiful she looked. He recognized her love for him, and expressed his love for her. This just felt so right, so awwww! to me...

(In fact, what I found a little bad about the beginning of PBMW2 is that they kind of reset this situation. Apparently they abandoned the NTR play, so Yasushi hadn't really accepted it as well as PBMW1 made me think. So again Yasushi and Mariko aren't communicating well -- even though this time she tries to ask him what he'd like to do, and suggests several fetish options... but he's like, nah, it'll be fine. So again Mariko is unsatisfied, and they don't talk about it... as if they had learned nothing about each other in PBMW1.)

It’s be great if you could translate the marina series 2&3 if you could, those two barely get any attention and it’s ones of the most wanted.

I'd like to. Marina is a great character... and there are prequels as well, as I recall. But let's see how much time I have for that (by late August I'll have a lot more work than I do now, which is why I'm trying to rush through PBMW 2 while I have a little more time, a couple of hours every day...).

But for me PBMW2 when it comes to H-scenes are better than PBMW1 , it's more detailed

Maybe. I'm only about 25% through the game -- translating means only going through a couple of scenes at a time --, so I haven't seen anything very impressive. But if they can top that final scene in PBMW1... then I'll clap my hands.

I don't mean to spoil it but the h-scene in the getaway is epic

Hi megalol, I am about 40% done (I'm at the beginning of file 01_08_h.ks now), and I have a couple of questions.

1. I tried to change the names in the character name bubble at the top of the text box by editing the [cn name = "xxxx"] and replacing the Japanese xxxx with the transliterated names (and also "Narration" for when a character is narrating but not talking). I did that manually a couple of times, and it seemed to work fine. Then I did a general search-and-replace, and something went bad: in some scenes, the character name bubble was empty; in others, it had two names together (e.g., "NarrationTakagi Shohē", with both "Narration" and "Takagi Shohē", when it should have been just "Takagi Shohē"). Am I doing something wrong? Doesn't search-and-replace work well in this case?

2. The .ks files all look ok, with one exception: 01_epi.ks -- when I try to open it, it has gibberish random characters instead of Japanese text and commands. When I open it with Locale Emulator, it looks fine (but the font is different). I can then edit it and save it; but if I open it again, it still has gibberish random characters (but any edits I made look fine); I again have to open it with Locale Emulator for things to look OK. All other .ks files can be opened without problems and without Locale Emulator; why is this one different? Is this going to create problems when I get to this part of the story? (I'm attaching 01_epi.ks as 01_epi.txt to this message so you can see exactly what I've got, just in case I did something wrong when I decompressed your file. I don't think I did, but who knows.)

I'm at the beginning of Mariko's second date with her lover, so I haven't gotten to this h-scene yet, but I've already noticed how well drawn all scenes and sprites are. PBMW1 must have been a success for them to improve quality so much in PBMW2. I wonder if the conversation at the beginning of the game, in which the hero (who is a game developer) talks about "going from low-price to full-price range production" and "a low-price range game that had a lot of success so we've gone full-price for the sequel") is the authors' way of referring to PBMW2 itself. How meta.)

1. I dunno... If u would attached both files (before s&r and after) I could compare them in some program such as Araxis Merge to see the differences. My suggestion that u shouldn't just search name only but the whole string - for example search: [cn name="ト書き"] and replace with [cn name="Narration"]. Maybe there is something wrong in macro.ks file since it stores names positions and etc but we must check 1st that u auto replacing names correctly.
2. This file in Shift-JIS encoding and I dunno if there will be any problems and why it's so but I think after proper translation it will work fine but maybe will be better (safer) to convert it in UCS2-LE BOM encoding...

U don't need to convert extracted resources back to .xp3 since it will work fine if u keep correct folder structure. Anyway I was using GARbro for creating .xp3 files and extracting them.

I already tried using GARbro and KRKextract for repacking but somehow it didn't work because it said the file(.ks) can't be accessed because it has been used by another process but i can't really find out which one is using the file. i searched everywhere.
