Succubus Rhapsodia translation = nearly complete (really just needs nitpick worthy stuff to fix.)

The mod is an add on to the game that expands the main version way longer. It would be fair to call it a expansion/dlc (free though). That translation isn't as complete (you can read how far he's gotten if you look for it) but a great majority of content is already translated there too.
Ok, thanks for the explanation ^^ Been wanting to play all the games from the MGQ Paradox Collab scenario but I can't stand MTL.

Personally I have 2 versions of the game. One with the mod and the other without and play both with the translation provided.
Sounds like a good idea. I might do the same depending on how exactly the mod changes things.

Sorry, new to this thread, can someone explain the current status of the games translation and what the “mod” everyone is talking about is?
The full game is pretty much entirely translated, and playable in English! The mod being talked about is a Japanese mod called Plains, Hills, and Cages, and is a really extensive addition to the content of the base game, adding a fuckton of post-game content and lots more. An English translation for that mod is currently underway.

Oh fuck somebody already explained it .-.

I got a fresh copy of version 1.2 (unmodded) and followed the installation instructions on git. For some reason there is no text being displayed. If i use a locale emulator though all the text appears in japanese, any ideas?

The base game is fully playable in English. I'm still going to improve it though.
There's a huge mod for the game that adds its own continuation to the main story and also many side scenarios, including a lot of new enemies, bosses, graphics and also a lot of new skills, items and other game mechanics. I wouldn't recommend it for first playthrough because it changes so much, and the translation for it is also unfinished
Edit: I also didn't see all the follow-up posts...

If you are loading a save you might need to change the map. Pretty sure JP locale is required, but if the translation is applied then it shouldn't be able to pull up japanese from anywhere except the save itself

It is a new game not a save file

So did you download the translation from the releases page, like ? Sounds like you just don't have the translation installed. You just need to download the .atc, unpack it and put the contents in the game folder, replacing old files
Thanks for writing down the steps again, it fixed my problem. I thought it would decrypt and recplace the contents in the game folder automatically. I didn't notice the new translation folder appearing.

I started revising the translations for the base game, and honestly there's more to do than I thought, but I'm looking forward to being able to provide a more polished translation. I'll try to edit some of the regular enemy dialog as I go, I think I won't put it on me to actually edit all of it... But I'll edit when I come across bad ones.

I also uploaded a to the crash at Chaosia's location for the modded version on Github. So basically for now, I'll focus on base game but I can provide bug fixes to modded version as needed. I may continue translating the mod later, but honestly it doesn't feel as meaningful to me as working on the base game. But I'll be pretty much busy for 2 weeks now, so no big updates for a while either way.

I'm back at it, revision playthrough is almost done. I also came up with the idea that I can do some more extensive adjustments by replacing functions with modded scripts. I made use of this to improve UI formatting in various places where text would either overlap or be overly squished, and generally make things look more natural.

I also did some misc things (that I could provide as optional files) like adding support to load more kinds of graphics (for example, insert/paizuri/oral images for both regular enemies and bosses) so it's possible to copy your favorites from the mod into the base game if you wish, and a mod to vastly buff Glass Ring since I didn't feel like spending hours grinding favor and contract beads.

I'll put out a release soon (for base game), but if anyone has any issues to report this would be a good time. Of course, the vast amount regular enemy dialog remains only partially edited, no need to point that out.

Okay it's up now
Aside from editing regular enemy dialogs, this release should be close to final, but if issues are found I'll be sure to update.
I'm not that familiar with F95, but would it make sense to do some kind of a post for finished translation?

I can't replicate this. Can you give some more details? Maybe upload the error_log.txt. Is this otherwise unmodded version of the game?
Strange...
There is no error_log.txt created in this folder.
I've installed 1.20 with Plains hill 240508, patch 240715c from

This update isn't for modded version, it's for base game

How exactly does the Graphics Support.rb file work? I put it in the Mod_Scripts folder and saw no difference, from what I understand I need files from the mod version?

If you're not familiar with the mod, I wouldn't bother. But yeah it doesn't do anything if you don't add some additional graphics to the Graphics/Battlers folder. You can probably understand the naming scheme there if you take a look, so that .rb adds some support load more graphics if they just exist in the folder.
There's probably little reason for most people to use this, since you could just play with the mod straight up, but I made this script in case people wanna play the base game but might be used to having more graphics from the modded version

That's great, is there a way to make it work with "I" type images too? There are some common enemies that have good insertion images.
