Though I should still refine the combat dialog in the original game, I was excited to tackle translating the MOD, and I've made pretty good progress with that. Up to completing Silver City, most stuff should be translated, but there might be all kinds of issues since the MOD is huge and I haven't revised earlier parts. But if you want to try it, I uploaded a pre-release version
I probably won't update this very frequently, but I figured I would upload something in case folks are eager to try the modded version
I know the mod updates are in their discord server.
Maybe there is a chance to play the game with a full MOD without AI Art...
When I have the time I'll dig into it.

It does include AI art though, and I don't really know which are and aren't, so I don't think that's happening
Let me dream about it at least :cry:
I still have the old 3075 original full mod somewhere... probably when they reached the best point of the MOD before they put a lot of garbage AI Art (my opinion ofc)

I don't really have a problem with AI art in particular, but I do think the game loses a lot of its charm with the mod, but that's the case with most mods for games; modders just don't have the same vision as the original developer(s). But it's a pretty crazy mod for what it is, if you just have the mindset of wanting more content

Thanks a bunch! I personally have been dying to play the mod translated. Since there's probably a lot of work left would you prefer logs on more mistranslations, errors/bugs or neither since it's still early?

It's fine to let me know but also not important since it's so much in progress still. Mostly just consider that I don't intend to post new releases for minor things. If there's something that would be important to fix by the time I update it, that would be good to let me know

Edit: I noticed there was an error with the opening so I updated to fix that... there was a bug in my script so it's good that got fixed

Hmm because the mod's AI arts are bad? (Sorry, I haven't finished the Vanilla game yet because I'm in a part full of enemies and they are killing me...)

I can't seem to get that error myself. Maybe one of you can upload a save on which the crash occurs? And before sending the save, make sure the crash occurs if you simply load the save and talk, or let me know if there are other conditions for crashing

Zipped up my save folder and error log, since I saw my error seems to actually be a bit different than the other guy's.
All I did on a new save is go through the tutorial, and talked to the bartender. After the first text box the error popped up.

I'm on the latest patch of the mod.(240508 with 240609)

It seems like this is not a translation related error, I could find people getting this error in the mod without translation. There should be a "PR_MOD_Game_Dish_料理.rb" in the Mod/Mod_Scripts folder. If there are multiple "PR_MOD_Game_Dish" files, delete others and make sure only the one from the translation is present. If you're not on japanese locale in Windows, maybe that could be a problem?

Seems deleting "PR_MOD_Game_Dish.rb" and leaving the translation's "PR_MOD_Game_Dish_料理.rb" fixed that, yeah.

New release for MOD:
Might not work much on this in July, but my goal is to finish the main content of the mod soon, and then probably focus on something else for a bit, like cleaning up base game translation some more
Thank you for making this update. I hope you can make more but even if you can't, we are grateful for the work you have already done.

Ran into a glitch in a later game zone, with the 0.6 patch, tried to enter a door and got a "dump format error(0x76)"

Also with the 0.6 mod translation patch, the right side of the church's first area seems to be broken, the doors take you to the left side instead with a non-centered camera.

I just about know what the issue is but it'll have to wait until next week. For now, I think you could replace Map347 in the mod folder with an older one or even from the unmodded translation to get past that error

That worked, thanks for the help.

Also, dunno if it's a problem with the base mod, or the translation, but the game sometimes freezes or crashes without an error when in the rune equipping menu.
Not really game-breaking, but does mean I really only mess with them when next to a save point.

Edit: Wouldn't be surprised at all if it was a base mod problem, since the mod does seem like it barely functions sometimes lol

Yeah I think it's just an issue with the mod, probably RPGMaker can't keep up with the amount of items. The mod really goes beyond what you should do with RPGMakerXP. I might ask in the discord server about it though
