I get the image loading error because the translated game translates the filenames to call but not the actual file names, so I have japanese filenames but the game looks for their english names. Which file getting translated causes this?

That's impossible to say because 1.) You're not giving us any information about the game or the error message, 2.) It could essentially be any or all of the image files in your game, which could be literal hundreds depending on the size of the game.

I'd strongly recommend not just using the 'batch translate' and 'export translation' features even if you just want an MTL unless you know what you're doing because problems like this can actually be made worse by inexperienced "translators". That being said, your problem should be a fairly easy fix. Later versions of T++ will automatically detect potentially problematic/game-breaking lines that you shouldn't be translating (oftentimes graphic or audio files) and tags them for you in red. When you export the translation, make sure to check the option to NOT translate the red-tagged lines. You can even perform this operation on your current game, which should fix it.

The other option is to look at which img file is listed in your image loading message and either undo the translation in T++ (ideal) or change the game file name to English.

Does anyone able to upgrade to 4.10.30.C? I have my patreon account connected and update pack from his homepage, however both auto-update and manually update just doesn't work, TPP always at 4.8.31.

In some games there are some menus that cannot translate translator++, this is because they are not in the data folder.Mostly they are secondary dialogues and some additional menus, could you please me in which folder to find them?

They're likely in the 'js' folder (plugins). If you're translating, newer versions of T++ have an option to include them in your translation, however they're tagged red or blue as a precaution, which you can remove or include in your output. You can also manually edit those files in Notepad++.

Just be aware that you should know what you're doing, as you can break your game (or your translation) if you just wildly batch translate/MTL or move things around without understanding how the scripting works.

Thanks, but they're not even there. I don't know where to find them, I've looked everywhere. If maybe you can see if you feel like it.
I'll post the game and the strings that I can't find

Anyone with expertise in this program can help me apply a translation for me? The program completely crashes/closes whenever i try to export or apply a translation to a game i've been trying to translate and play.

I managed to translate a few games but ran into a weird problem on one. The text speed is like 1 character per half a second and it takes ages to get a few rows of text, does anyone know if this is fixable?

I just got the software and skimmed through a video on how to use it, it's all good translation wise but i ran into 2 issues

1- Names are not being translated when they are inside [ ] brackets.
#To get around this issue i had to translate names entries one by one through google, then using the "Find/Replace" function.
if there is an easier way that would help-!

2- After injecting the translation and running the game, an issue with everything's placement occures.
you'll see characters walking on top of objects instead of the floors, doors floating over whenever you move your character, invisible walls. (Basically, the walls exist but they are in a different location in reality)

Map Issue 1: Problem preview
Map Issue 1.1: Correct Placement before translation

If anyone helps I'd be delighted, thanks-!

I basically translated anything that fell under a category called "/YAML"
here are the folders names should they matter:

-Actors
-Animations
-Armors
-Classes
-CommonEvents
-Enemies
-Items
-Map001-Map141
-MapInfos
-Scripts
-Skills
-States
-System
-Tilesets
-Troops
-Weapons

I'd imagine your error lies in the Scripts or Common Events files, especially if you don't know what you're doing and just batch translated the entire thing.

Would suggest replacing those translated files with the original files to check and see if that corrects your issues.

OOF.
it is true that it's my first time doing this, and it did not turn out well indeed, the dev also suggested that I translated something that should not have been touched. the game is big so finding out which folder will be the ultimate pain rofl

Yes, that's probably what happened. It's nice that the dev is receptive to someone translating/messing around with their game though. Again, I'd check the files I suggested to narrow it down.

Can someone please share the latest build (v5.1.19)?
I have managed to get v4.9.28 to run (explanation in "Set Up"), from a download shared here (open the quote or the "Download" spoiler):

Translator++ 4.9.28

Due to the fact that the developer introduced an additional check. The latest version was not working. I immediately apologize for the inconvenience caused.

1. Added 2 additional archives to the cloud

translator++_x32.7z

translator++_x64.7z

You need to copy the contents of one of these archives, depending on the bit depth of your system, to your profile folder, along the path "C:\Users\Admin\AppData\Local\". If it asks for a replacement, agree. But it is desirable, first, to delete the old translator++ folder along the same path. In the end, you should end up with something like this:

"C:\Users\Admin\AppData\Local\translator++"

The profile folder is hidden by default. You need to enable the display of hidden files and folders. Below I will throw off a couple of links so that you can understand this matter.

P.S. Also, this time added a free Yandex translator. Please test. Hope this method works. Happy translations everyone! Sincerely, admin. (Роман).

Password for archives: Downloaded from Porno-Island

This is obviously a workaround, and having to remember to activate/deactivate the firewall rule is a pain in the ass bothersome, but it certainly works.
Now we just need someone to share the latest (cracked) version like the above to get the latest bugfixes and addons updates.
So if anyone knows the source of the download and has a way to share it, please do so.
