Weird thing now is that when I load it one of 2 things happens; either my dude won't move and the escape key does nothing, or I can move but it tells me I reached the end of the current versin to spite DLing .54 save and having .65 game

if your game causes difficulties that you don't know where they come from ...
don't try it for a long time ... delete the game and install the latest full version.

Windows: The save files are located in: \Users\<Your User Name>\AppData\Local\User Data.
Mac: Users/Username/Library/Application Support
Android: The save files are in android/data but are only accessible in rooted phones.
But you must unhide them first.

^ You don't find it, you go back and forth on the same spot until IT decides to show up. There's at least 4 layers of RNG on top of each other just for it to show up, let alone you capture it
