Can you explain what I have to do here? I walked around here until the spell appeared and disappeared once but I don't recall picking up a key. I haven't been able to get anything to happen walking the steps in the picture and there isn't any sound when I step on those spots. Can you please explain this puzzle?

When you step on "chest key switch" spots, than in middle room appear chest key. There is some efect when you step on right spot.

Obviously the numbers mean you have to do it in a certain order. I got something to appear for a minute but then it went away. Now I don't hear anything when I step on those spots like the sound when I step on the pressure plates. No sound. Here's what my screens look like.

When you step on this spots screen will move (If I remembeer correctly) and lit light on pillars in middle room. Step only on this spots.
On your last pictures is diagram of this on wall.

Correct. I'm looking for the key in the center of the room but I can't figure out how to get it to appear. I can't find the switches where they are supposed to be.

That image is quite explicit, you have to light the two columns by visiting the places indicated in the left and right rooms, the clue is on the centre room back wall ...

As I explained to you before, if you have found something in the lists,
you have to go to the walkthrough to get more exact information.
Because the lists - for the sake of clarity - do not always contain all the information.

Thanks to those who helped me sort out my save file to add viper antivenom and philweed plants. I thought the variables were just called "consumable [x]" or something like that, I didn't realize the actual name of the thing was revealed, because I am a dummy dumb.

Never seen this issue brought up by anyone in the thread before, it seems like a unique problem.
If you want to give anyone a chance to try to help you, you need to surrender some more info.

What is your system?
What is your OS?
Are you fully updated?
Are you using the official version or are you using a compressed or in anyway else modified version?
etc.
Would be a good starting point.

im using windows 10 pro 64bit and using official full version 5gb, i think this is happen after i clean up disk or deleting cache in my pc several hours ago. i will try to re download it

Seems to be a real video problem (if it only does that in scenes/video playback). Might wanna re-get your codecs. Or get off Win10, whichever suits you best. Graphics card drivers could also help
