The last sentence in your post is really silly because it's like saying if I can't prove that God doesn't exist he must exist, as if the alternatives offered were mutually exclusive and one or other had to be true which is nonsense. Look: Janet got wet in her shower; MC and Clare got wet in the river after getting muddy; Janet washed Henry's clothes in her washing machine; nobody got wet after being sucked under water by a subterranean whirlpool and swept into Sofia's mansion. That is the very definition of game inconsistency because it implies that in ToN liquid water can wet people in some locations and not wet them in other locations, without signaling that such a thing is possible in that game world beforehand to players! Not one of the characters swept into Sofia's mansion commented on their dryness after leaving the torrent nor was any other influence natural, magical or supernatural, cited to explain why none of them were soaked as had always been the case in ToN for all characters drenched before.

When I say consistency I don't me consistency to the physics of the real world as far as fiction is concerned I mean consistency as far as what happens in the fiction goes. An example of consistency in ToN is crafting: four things offered at the cave shrine can combine and morph into one other thing, always combining to produce the same result, e.g., two broken keys, a pirate talisman and a grand medallion always give you a pirate key nothing else which might well not be the case without crafting recipes and rules!

Let me switch this around an paraphrase your question: Can you point out anywhere where ToN says that water doesn't make clothes wet? And if not then why anybody would have any conceivable reason not to consider it inconsistent when all characters dunked in water in the game got wet before? Thing is if you don't have consistency and coherence in a story literally anything can happen, at any time, for no reason at all; all structure would be lost, everything would turn to jelly, and the story would effectively no longer exist... which, come to think about it, does kind of describe the last chapter of ToN pretty well: Duncan killing Henry with a knife (and as a practiced murderer presumably checking to make sure that Henry was deceased before disposing of his body in a way ensuring it would never be found); Henry then having post-death sex with Evie (a non-corporeal being who became corporeal enough to couple with Henry physically, in limbo, despite the fact that he was then non-corporeal himself, his body decomposing back on Earth); Henry meeting his dead father who had messages for Clare, Diana and Albert, but not a word to pass on to poor Janet or Kaley, supposedly Idaho's ex-wife/lover and daughter as well as mother and sister to Henry, respectively, according to f95zone's incest freaks anyway; and then Henry waking, restored to life and fully healed, in the cave system of the park with Madalyn there to greet him! Now that's a pretty good trick on Henry's part since the only other person I can think of, who came back to life like that after being put to death, was... let think... non other than Jesus Christ himself! Shoot me down in flames but as much as I like the little shit in some ways I really don't think that Henry Johnson is a son of God! Although I suppose in a imaginary reality where rules and laws don't matter; there's no reason to suppose that Henry isn't another Messiah, or, and here's a thought, the Almighty in human form! Or sculpted from papier mâché made from pulped beer mats stolen from the Full Mast Bar! Or crafted from four thimbles full of fetid goat's urine taken to the cave shrine of the Tikpak as an offering ! Without rules, laws and consistency, in a game word where water isn't always wet, there's no reason to think that any of these things or even madder things are impossible or even unlikey.

No more time, over and out.

I don't disagree with what you have written but the truth is that most members of this "community" only play NLT Media games for their sex scenes which they masturbate to in lieu of an active sex life. Not many visitors expect pornographic games to resemble the Iliad or Odyssey, or to contain good writing, or to have actual literary quality, using them principally to feed fantasies about fucking beautiful girls, singly and in groups, to stimulate and excite themselves while bopping the baloney with a view to achieving an ejaculation. If porn addicts actually got to fuck gorgeous girls in the real world they'd be doing exactly that, all the while, not playing lewd computer games about doing so, on their lonesome, with one hand wrapped around their cocks. Take it for what it is and don't look for anything deeper because if you do you'll be sorely disappointed.

P.S., For a dramatic sexy game of unparalleled depth and quality click on the Summer's Gone sig below, download it and enjoy. I feel that you may be the kind of person who could appreciate such an imaginative tour de force. I personally don't know of anything better available for download on f95zone.

but to feed the male fantasy about fucking a beautiful girl (or girls) that they could never be intimate with or get the chance to enjoy in real life, bop the baloney, and achieve an ejaculation. If they could fuck gorgeous girls in the real world that's what they'd be doing in real life not playing computer games, on their own, with a hand wrapped around their cock
We are not getting superficial here are we ?! Pups problem is he needs to learn how to chillax ! ;):BootyTime: Writing an essay on a pirate message board about how and what was fucked up in a porn game is just waste of time... you play the game... you experience it's ups and downs and you make a decision you like it or not ! The End ! :ROFLMAO: Analysing something on a visceral level... ?!? Specially a porn game... ?!?

Here's to the next League of Legends !:ROFLMAO::KEK:

Pups? I'm a grown man, sonny. What cheek! However you are correct about the game being superficial, which was my point. Take it for what it is or leave it should be the attitude in my view. Oh! When you wrote "Pups" you didn't mean me I think but were referring to some other person and not rudely implying that I'm underage. In which case I apologise for calling you "sonny". Not that it matters of course. (y) Anyway in my opinion errors the bugs and errors in the last couple of ToN updates were caused by trying to do too much too quickly and not properly beta testing them before releasing them due to time constraints. The errors were all pretty minor and were fixed as soon as they were discovered; personally I couldn't care less about characters being wet or dry after getting out of a river in a cave and whatnot.

Pups as in Sick Puppy... and you might need some chillax too... read between the lines before you assume I was badmouthing you in any ways ( wasn't badmouthing Pup either by the way... ) Apology accepted... not that it matters ! :ROFLMAO: (y) Sonny would take effect maybe if you were in your late 70s maybe 80s  so no I don't think so :p:D

That is what you get if you bite off more than you can chew... classic rookie mistake ( I'm sorry folks but that's how life works it's not a popularity contest !!! ) maybe the reason why so much change occurred from V79 onward which led to the bad seed V83... and still all of them updates needs a fix of some sort... ( and will continue so no need to rush on the collection of the new version ! ) Personally I think there was zero testing after V79 since they choose to mix up the original timeline... but who knows for sure ?! Minor you say ? If a game stops functioning that's not considered as minor  more like pretty fucking major issues :ROFLMAO: ... Anyways we agree on the bulk of what was here...:D(y)

Oddly I've had no problems with any of the updates and played through all of the original releases, from beginning to end, with no problems at all. This makes me wonder if the freezes, missing items, vanishing artefacts etc., only occur when you play through the game using a certain sequence, because I stuck to soul crystal hints and everything worked fine for me out of the box. For about two years almost all the updates worked perfectly. I can only remember one update (with hornets blocking a path or something like that) which failed for everybody on release (fixable by editing a line of code) but lately the quality of the code does seem to have declined allowing errors to creep in. Maybe one of NLT Media's programmers left and was replaced by someone less experienced or not yet familiar with the original programmer's style; or maybe the updates aren't being tested enough times by enough people to detect bugs properly; or possibly with two games on the go at the same time NLT Media are just stretched too thin to be able to work as professionally and effectively as they used to. Could be all sorts of reasons for bugginess and failure. Up until fairly recently they've been very diligent and thorough as far as released code was concerned and there have been remarkably few cock ups considering the size and number of regular updates there have been since ToN began. :)(y)

Personally I think that NLT Media are putting a huge amount of effort into developing TGO, hoping to push the envelope even further than managed previously in ToN and are running into trouble. The more complexity injected into the game the more time and effort is bound to be required, which might explain the why they've become slipshod and accident prone as ToN segues into TGO, which is a bad sign for a game with a two or three year life cycle and future updates scheduled at the rate of twice a month throughout the whole of that very long period. :(

The launch of TGO has been postponed and postponed and postponed and now put off until December. :cautious: If NLT Media are finding TGO difficult enough to demand repeated delays as per its launch, when they do eventually manage to get the new game off the ground, at such a demanding level of difficulty, will it be possible to update TGO on a regular bimonthly basis like ToN before it?

I have a sinking feeling.

I have not come across these bugs either but that does not mean they are not present ( the catdude should consider this ! ) I also go straight forward with the game according to the built-in-walkthrough and with the exception of V83 there was no hiccup anywhere ( that's when I looked at the system files and even though I'm not pro at this I could find what was wrong with it > timeline change without proper system file modifications )

Swamping yourself in " work " will have negative results... and seeing the release date push backs it was not even worth it ! What's the rush ???:p Sure everybody eagerly awaits the new game but if this comes at this price... I hardly believe this was the sane decision !

No trouble with this ! But only if you make your release when " it's ready ! " for release ! The last 20% of TON shows that neglecting will cause a lot of mishaps :devilish::ROFLMAO: Same fate awaits TGO if they don't learn from this...

The content of this game and its predecessors are a big step up from novels like "50 Shades..." and its associated Film! Both in quality of script, writing, and story line.

Never bothered to read the book but unfortunately was dumb enough to watch the movie and as far as that goes in my opinion you're 100% dead right! I find it incredible that two sequels - books and movies - were written and made which, I have heard, were even worse than the originals! Forewarned is forearmed and after sitting through the first movie I avoided the book series itself and unseen sequels afterwards like the plague!

As far as ToN is concerned I thought that the quality of the story and dialogue declined as the game evolved, probably because as the number of active characters increased less time was available to the characters individually to do full justice to them all. Not that I mind. ToN isn't a favourite of mine but I began it when it first became available and continue to play it more out of habit than anything else, working my way through each chapter, once and once only, and not considering the game again until the next update drops and I plough through it after installing the new and changed code and cranking the RPG up. :D

ToN is still a pretty good game IMHO but when it finishes later this year I won't miss it, won't play it again, and won't look at it in future. ;) I will give TGO a try when it is eventually released, curious to see how artful NLT Media have been stretching and pushing the RPG Maker software they still use to develop their games to its limits and beyond. :)

Nope you don't miss a chest you just have to go right from this screen and go and stay there for a sec where the outside light beam shines ! :D You see the two towers here on this pic but it's not them what is relevant... just look behind them on the wall ! That small light blue/gray squares show you the location of the switches but I'm telling you just follow the light beam !

Just finished the latest update. It still has a green mark at the beach. Dr already showed up once. Am I missing something?
