You probably miss some update and this probably isn't only error what you have. Download full bulid of last version, its easiest way to fix it.
WOW...it really has you "hooked" and obsessed. In that amount of time, you could have farmed a couple of areas and made $1M. Fishing, as already discussed dozens of times, is only a time filler between updates and a way to add to your bank account. As you already stated, this is a "mini game" and you are making it a mandatory job. And thus, it stopped being fun. If you think the hammerhead is hard, wait till you start chasing the 3000lb great white.

Yep! I like the story and art in this game. I think if they removed the pr0n and added a little turn-based RPGM style combat, they could sell it as a 'mainstream' game.
You need to unpack it with a program like 7zip or winrar (if you are on win10 you can also use win10's built in unpacker, right click and chose extract all). You will then get a config.set file. Place the config.set file in the www folder in the game directory. (If promted to overwrite, say yes). Start the game. When the game asks you if you want to change a file back say "No".
MAC: Right click on Game.app and choose "Show Package Contents"
You need to unpack the 7zip file with your archiver of choice.
