yes, it warrants cheating, even if this makes no sense as a comparison since even the more story-driven porn videos are just that porn videos it warrants a cheating tag if they were in a relationship.

I don't actually think that was it, from what was shown she has had the knowledge that someone was aiming to harm her, her daughter and her new husband for a while, also she was married now, so with these two things together coming back to the MC wasn't an option, she would need to solve both problems, and then tell Milly the truth and also work out through Milly's attraction to her father, basically from what I could see she ran out of time and the explosion happened to make plan b happen, and yeah keeping in contact was dumb, but again the whole plan was dumb, you mentioned that maybe they couldn't say straight away to the MC that he would be killed but I think you read what we said too literally it was basically just an example to say "they didn't communicate well enough to have an excuse to use such a dumb plan", but then again I can see as you said the why they though they would need extreme measures, I don't know maybe I'm giving the game too much credit, as I've said I'm fine with everything that happened so far but I think this part of the plot is done and doesn't need a repeat in the future like "she went into hiding to bring Milly and the MC together".

I have tried everything to ignore/not chose Astrid on one of the paths and she still turns out to be the MC's girlfriend. The MC tried to ignore her at this door, ignores her on the plane and then elects not to grope her but he still sends her a dic pic and she considers him to be her boyfriend. wtf? This is not unusual, it seems like the choices the MC makes really don't matter a whole lot in this VN.

choices dont mean anything with anyone, everything still happens anyway you cant avoid any of them for to long, the only choice i found to do something was not sleeping with Kimiko

I think the Dev intended to have choices matter in the beginning, but quickly realised how much extra work having 7 [?] potential divergent paths would be and instead has chosen to make the choices not really matter, at least so far.
Its probably just part of it being his first VN, we're seeing similar lack of forward planning with the plot too. At least it feels that way so far.

If I recall correctly, the Dev has said that he originally intended a purely Kinetic Novel. Due to fan response, he added the choices and limited pathing that we have now. He probably should have stuck to his original plan. It would have lessened the communal wailing and gnashing of teeth after each update. Players were allowed to believe they would have a real contribution to the development of the story where that never seems to have truly been the case.
It's like what Glooskabe said. The game was completely kinetic when it first came out, but as the story was moving forward and after some of us really "loved" how the MC was taking all of Deb's bullshit with a big smile on his face, he decided to give some options to the players and completely reworked the first part of the game.
If I remember correctly Jules was also supposed to be a LI by default, just like Astrid seems to be, but once again after some of us really "loved" how Deb had to fill all her holes, even if the MC was actively flirting with her (because Deb is playful like that...), he gave the option to turn her down and pretty much throw her into Gary's arms, which then again changed to "she was never going to fuck Gary", after she became a "fan favourite" with her ultimatum...
And that is something you are wrong about the Dev intended the game to be a Kinetic Novel but after some feedback that the player base wanted to make choices, he started to implement them starting from v0.03a that is written in the changelog.
It actually wouldn't make sense for her to ever possibly expect her daughter to never be reunited with her father, its not like she expected to have total control over her daughter for the rest of her daughter's life. All it would have taken is one time after she left to live on her own for the daughter to decide to seek out her father or at least see her paternal family and boom, the entire plot explode in the mother's face.
Unless Marie is literally stupid she couldn't have expected that to work, which isn't the case obviously, so the only thing she could have wanted was to delay the reunion hoping desperately that her daughter would find someone else to fancy before that point and hope it would prevent her from falling for her father, that is just about the only thing she could have expected realistically, also again its not like she could have expected her ex-husband's family to not decide to reveal things to the MC if too long passed or things became dire enough, she might have been able to convince them to delay things for a few more years, since the MC was stable enough to take it, but its not like everyone involved in the scheme could be expected to keep silence for the rest of their lives.

The problem is that plan shouldn't have worked as a plan to protect the MC, merely lead to either things getting worst or suicide. If they had a plan to protect the MC that made remotely sense I could have forgiven them, but as it turns out its not like that at all, instead they have a plan which should have led to a bad ending for the MC. So yea even if they have the best interests of the MC at heart, which is doubtful, they deserve to be shitted on for their bullshit plan for alot longer, the path to Hell is paved with good intentions, so they deserve for the MC to give them Hell over it.

okay, one thing that is bothering me now, mostly because I've seen error logs here and it reminded me about the errors I got in-game, why is the cellphone a thing? I mean most of the things that use it are obligatory, and the ones that are not you literally choose through text to just have to jump through another three screens, it feels unnecessary at the moment, are there bigger plans for it or will it be discarded? even checking the stats though it is more work than it is worth, also most of the errors were when I tried to click through the phone before certain things happened in the story, like the cameras, photos or messages before people sent them, after that part of the story I could click it without receiving an error, not a big deal.
Or alternatively, smack the lot of them upside the head.

Love this game. The dev of this game does a good job of leaving us wanting more. Yet gives enough in each update to actually do something. Some only put out about 4 minutes of new content. Keep up the good work! Can't wait till the next update.
