If he's doing the game because he wants to, then the dev will probably keep going.
If they are doing it for the money, it's difficult to see them persisting for too much longer...

When this game came out I found it interesting, and I downloaded it, but when I saw the son looking mentally retarded, and the "baby" even more mentally retarded, (I didn't understand the purpose of "baby") I concluded that Dev should be 12 yo.
So I uninstalled the game, and I will only become a player again when the son is cured by a psychiatrist, and a dermatologist, (because of the stain on his face) and the "baby" goes to play in the forest, gets lost and never comes back. RIP
Some people like this game, so this is not a criticism but just my opinion
