Any development can get bored! especially if you are tightly engaged in only one game.Sometimes you just need a break to start working with renewed vigor. The patron system, of course, forces you to be more responsible to your donators and creates a nervous stress - you constantly need to report on the results and maintain feedback. And wow the effect is more difficult to create over time. Let's wait and hope for the best :alien:

On one hand, it's bad practice to not notify people who patron you when developments that knock expected dates back happen. However, it's not at all a bad thing to have such delays - perfectly normal part of the workflow, especially given the lax specifications of a project of this nature.

On the other hand, it's bad to whine and moan about release dates, period(barring exceptions like big industrial projects, things where millions have been put in or when you've expressly paid for something to be done by a set date). But to ask people from the internet to not throw a fit over delays, be they minor or major, is like trying to stop the rain from reaching the earth with your hands.

All that being said, I agree with your patience and request for others to be patient. Yeah, I got nothing else, just felt like saying it.

Seriously? If that's your attempt at being serious, give it up. Your not fooling anyone.

People can whine and moan as much as they want, and sometimes it actually gets results. Usually by a combination of moaning and patreon withdrawals, devs either put up or abandon, which is fine either way.

As for your similes, wow, really? Shameful.

oh come on...

2 months and you already get crazy ? i mean, even 3 months ?

still people doesnt say anything on some games that take half a year tocome out with a shit update...

this is ridiculous.

give the dude some break. seriously, he have the right to live his life , he is not a slave of the game, nor yours. If he even want to stop the game, it's his absolute right.

before screaming of death or else, wait at least for 5 months minimum... its a fucking Unity game, not a renpy visual novel -_-.

i dont cover that dev, i just state true fact.

We all understand this, but normal people are able to write that they are going on vacation (even if it is for an indefinite period)

The problem is that last thing Henry said is that update schedule will change but still be close to once a month. But 2-3 month is not really close to a month.
well.. things happen.. You can't always garantee a correct ETA.

i mean, Akabur also promissed that update will come out each month LOL.

i just think there is no reasons to panic just after a couple months. The actual "standard" waiting time is around 3-4 months per update. with exception of some devs who break patreon money rent and can update daily or weekly.

some devs aint good at communicate.
And some communiocate too much. :KEK:
I'm more than happy to generously support developers. That being said, when they pull shit like this, I'm almost happy that no one wants to pay them anymore. No updates, no communication, no explanation? People are handing you their money, that they earned from their real jobs; the kind of jobs where an explanation just won't cut it.
Communicate with your supporters, or get to work. Stop ripping people off.

i cant talk for the dev...
But like i say, its a bit early tho.. teh standard is around 3 months for most games/devs.
I know its always good to give explanation or just give a lil' teasing to what is coming.
I m just saying that its a bit too early to start shitting on the dev. I m not perfectly correct maybe, but i think its the very first time this happen, soo he got a free pass i guess, never know what could happen in real life.

I already went on the devs last update, so I'm not going to uselessly repeat myself.
Sure is that a precise scheduling ends up sometimes in posting worthless updates, and I totally prefer to wait longer (a bit) to get a consistent upgrade.
On the other end if you get money every month at least communication is due. (try to go on a trip for 15 days w/o calling your girlfriend/wife... see what happens ).

Besides the whole Patreon system is totally in the gray area between crowdfounding (good) and unfair commercial practice depending on the publisher behaviour and the "enthusiasm" of the contributors.

Some days ago I also red that the platform has started claiming all the published content as their own property, mostly for censorship purpose, it wasn't clear. (font sankakucomplex)
If true storm coming...

There are plenty of platforms that will pick up the slack if patreon gets to big for its boots.

We all want an update, but it arrives when it arrives. If your paying for it then you have a right to be upset, but not the right to act like a complete twat. Christmas update perhaps!? :giggle:

Rule of thumb never pay for early access only pay for the finish product.

Normally i would agree but that doesn't really work with crowd funded games, if everyone did that there would be hardly any worthwhile western indie porn games, you'd get mostly low effort Poser VN garbage with broken English hoping for a quick buck, if you can't afford to back a potential failure then yeah, wait for the final release, but if you do back a game expect nothing and you'll be pleasantly surprised if they deliver.

following this will result on 2 way.

1 - not a single dev would have any funds, nor help, nor support. go tell that to others big overrated games around...

2 - This will result with shit devs doing small unfinished piece of garbage pretending to "complete" their game just to quickly pop out the completed tag and get funds. (we saw that already, i wont name games or devs)
