Anyone else having an issue where the camera automatically slides to the left once open? even if I unplug my keyboard, the screen keeps shifting to the left.

Make sure that you dont have any gamepads plugged in; since the game uses Unity, it can confuse your gamepad with your movement commands . This incident was mentioned earlier but for some reason it always returns :)

So, I've received clarification.

The issue ISN'T the second feature, that's a thing they're working on ready for 0.55 and that's still a long way away. The problem is bug fixes for 0.54. Game crashes, characters not spawning, black screen. Apparently 0.54 is not in a good state, features or otherwise. Apologies for my miscommunication and frustrations previously, expect a Devlog to go into this in more depth later this month.

Edit: TFG has created a new sub-section on the Discord for Q&A. They've done this to try and be more direct and open about the entire process. In their own words: "I will be more openly and answer within my knowledge with somewhat spoiler include in that channel." Feel free to join if you have any questions about the game development side of things.
Well, at least this served to highlight the importance of more transparent communication.

Thanks for the share, let's wait and see.

this game must have mod sup, that way we can put 200 diffrent characters in this and devs can focus the core of the game... its also good for avoiding possible copyrights from famous game characters. am i the only one thinking this simple thing?

Really shouldn’t take that long to fix if they do, just go back to the commit it was working and then compare what changed and you’ve already done half the work. After too long you can just ask if whatever you’ve added that causes the crashes is worth doing and if you can just bypass it entirely by doing something else.

Maybe I’m wrong but I kinda suspect the majority of developers on this site don’t go through the trouble of setting up a repo for their games, I wonder how many dead or delayed projects would be way further along if that was more common practice…

It sounds more like they did some refactoring and rewrote existing systems, because they found better ways to do some things. In that case they might encounter unexpected bugs and would have to work through them one by one. No way around it.

It'exactly that, they started adding stuff on a structure that wasn't ment for that and inevitably got to a critical limit.
Now they are rebuilding the basic program to support the present and future enhancements.
As you properly pointed out, this can face them with glitches of any kind, from freezing to ragdoll etc..

Let's just hope they took the steps in the right direction, it'll be heaven or hell

Exactly this. I can now talk about it as folks seemingly have figured it out from the new screenshot teasers, the feature is anatomy improvements.

I'm no developer and most of what TFG was talking about in tech to me went right over my head, but from what little I understood it seems a feature in Blender has been recreated into True Facials to stop legs developing a second femur, or bending ridiculously out of place. There was a picture shared in the Mod channel of Marika with her legs huddled up to her chest in a sit up position that really showed the differences between 0.53 and 0.54.

The biggest complaint from the Technical Test was a lack of male characters, so that was rushed to get Cloud into the game and 1 male character guaranteed by poll. The next biggest complaint has been anatomy and rigging issues.



There was something about Unity having a limit of 4 bones, but Henry making a hack to up it to 12? Then something about ridiculous math algebra calculations that Unity can do but UE5 can't? I dunno, again, not a developer. Though it does look like the game will be staying in Unity for the foreseeable future.
Well... Pharah does look like her ass... i mean she got improved

guys after choosing something from the menu I get a black screen, what can I do ?
Did you install it correctly Main game + "mods"?
Does your game start normally displaying 2 characters?
Than maybe the mods download was corrupted, try dl it again.

There are multiple ways to brick the game, like trying to add a character from an older version of the game, or throwing scripts or captures in the wrong folder etc.
