I think I said a couple of times that this game is my current favorite. I wanted to share a few points as to what bugs me and what keeps me optimistic (to see Missis Clements at least one more time (PD Monday, v0.10 or similar)).
What bugs me: I see huge inflation of content/branches in the game (there is one more character, to be introduced on Monday, widely guessed to be Aydens mom) and if it will take 3 months between updates (hopefully not) we will see:
- v0.08 in 2024 Feb.
- v0.09 in 2024 May.
- v0.10 In 2024 Aug./Sept. (with the usual summer delays).
... that is PD Monday my friends, not even close to something serious like Thursday (date with Missis Clements). And this is when the last character will be introduced. That means - the story arc for the last character will START v0.10 In 2024 Aug./Sept. Developing a game for several years is rarely sustainable and many developers in recent years despaired w/o a trace (game: Disorder), and even have their family die (in Turkish earthquake, don't remember which game). So to all the fans, that say: "quality is more important that speed" I would like you to consider by how much - if the game would be released every 6 months, would quality still be worth it. How about a year between updates?
Another thing that is a bit strange that release date is less clear as the development progresses, which seems to indicate that there are a bunch of external stuff happening in developers life (which is fine). I would be great to know if the developer would consider working on the game full time at some point (and how much funds we would need to reach to consider that).
What keeps me optimistic:
- the developer promised that after v0.8 things will change wrt/ the process (I'm still hoping for less bonus content, slimmer dev updates that would help concentrating on the game).
- mapping should be way less of an issue, as said in the previous update:
