This has been another week where I've spent a lot of time setting up the main free-roam of the chapter, which is the hotel you briefly visited in episode 1.
It's a massive free-roam with a total of 9 different floors, and everything takes quite a bit of planning with everything from saving camera angles, lighting the locations naturally so they look equally good with or without people in them, a diversity of room types (not just hotel rooms), re-surfacing walls/floors/doors etc. - lots of things you don't have to think about when putting two people in a room and doing a dialogue.
With a free-roam like this, the elevator comes naturally as a location picker, and after several days of trying the few elevator assets available, I gave up and contacted the world-famous architect, Wibble. And once again did he deliver, and I'm very happy with the result.
If you don't like free roams, don't worry about this being a major part of the game. It's not, but you can use it to decide who to spend time with. You do NOT have to be in room 303 between 7:59 and 8:00 on Tuesdays only, to discover something.
This weekend I should be able to build up a decent render queue with all the saved camera angles I've already done because next week I'll be spending a few days with a local theater group who are going to be putting my mo-cap suit to the test. That should give me a whole lot of data for use as poses and animations for both u4ia and a future project.
I know that many of you are interested in the music for the game, and I've talked a bit with Jay Denton who you might remember from the Leap of Faith soundtrack, and agreed to use some of his newer tracks for the game.
For our custom character LI, we're down to the very last few options. This time it's the hair. Put your vote in for your favorite hairstyle below.

I'm with you on 9 and 10, but I replaced 5 with 4. She's going to look like tgat in the morning anyway.

Okay, so finally we're at the last poll for the custom LI. It's been quite a bit of work trying to give you different options to vote for. I realize that most of you will probably only get one or two of your favorite options included, but I hope it was a bit of fun designing her anyway. And honestly, you all did good, because she's a beauty.
Option 9 won last week, followed closely by 5 who won one of the polls. And, looking closer at the two hair options, they are rather similar (style of hair, hairline etc.), so I can have her change to option 5 in some scenes, but 9 was the winner which will be her default look.
She had very few colors to choose from in the original asset, and since there was no 'red' versions, I had to do a custom red and ginger one for option 5 and 6.
I'm looking forward to doing her first renders, and I'll include a preview next week of the finished version which still need a few tweaks.
This week, I spent a lot of time collecting animation data from the mo-cap suit. Now to just find a way to transfer the keyframes all from Blender to Daz, and I'll be a happy guy.
Current renders are spread across several computers/folders, but I'll have everything sorted for next week so I can give you the exact numbers of where I'm at.

I've counted to 3 more players with the same problem as me:
We play Teagan route faithfully and whatever we seem to do, the end stats say "Teagan : 1 missed opportunity".
Both "romantic" and "fun" selection when she straddles you seems to give the same ending.
I'm playing "Brain", could it be that I need "Brawl"?
Anyone that can give us a clue?

I'm on Brawl path and I get the same result... So it doesn't matter what path you're on...

Is it the same scenes for her though? Maybe Brain players miss Brawl scene and Brawl players Brain scene, either case missed 1 scene.I'm on Brawl path and I get the same result... So it doesn't matter what path you're on...

Well, I was curious as to what the "Brain" path was like... at the end there was still an error message... And I don't know what or where I missed it, but I paid attention to everything... I created a Gina-Page path, and there is no Gina error - Page is an error message (I didn't understand this either, since there was no more interaction with him, because you could leave the bar with Gina...)
edit: The Page error could be because in the club you had to choose between two answers (Gina's dance or Page's conversation) and since I chose Gina, I could get an error on Page's page.
But that still doesn't explain Teagan's error message...
If someone is smarter, maybe they can share the solutions...
