Are you running scrappy's mod? If so, get the updated version a few posts up. Scrappy graciously and quickly patched it.
If you are already at the mansion, even after patching, I noticed some saves were perfectly fine while others were still generating errors. I reverted those ones back to an older save and had no issues upon arriving at the mansion.
kinda funny was going post my issue until i saw scrappy updated his mod. so i installed it was happy again

scrappy filesadmin is gone so you might want to update your posts on this and others (i hope they didn't owe you much).
Yeah, it's tricky. Most of them go back and edit their original post, in this case here: https://f95zone.to/threads/u4ia-ep3-11p-driftygames.158858/post-10702725 But that does not provide update notifications if you edit a message, you can see it was edited last Friday. It does simplify that there is only one post with the most recent version, so you don't get people downloading ancient versions of the mod by doing a lazy/partial search.
I'd posted a bug report about the mansion, he added a very quick reply to it saying it was fixed, which the notification should have shown up as an alert if the thread was watched: https://f95zone.to/threads/u4ia-ep3-11p-driftygames.158858/post-15814152. But then, even still, you'd need to go back to the original mod message to find it.
I generally follow the Mod link on the first page, and then look at when the message was last edited, in this case last Friday. So something was fixed, and some modders will post what was fixed or added or removed. If it's newer than the one you have downloaded, it's worth a download.

well my saves at end of ep 2 didn't work but saves at start of ep1 (mc had just arrived) worked but 1st attempt stopped after paying trailer on pier (maybe should have tried to pay on previous screen) since game stopped working, 2nd attempt worked fine (got to start of beach event) since paid trailer elsewhere.

Completely understand what you mentioned in the analysis. I also had to replay last year. These Freeroam events were what made me quit the game because I forgot to clean the entire trailer, something I had already done in my first playthrough. One of the characters ended up leaving because the place was too messy, and all of this happened because I left just one item forgotten in the bathtub. It would be ideal if the game had a New Game+, where, if you had already completed everything or at least collected the keys, you could start with them already available.
In Leap of Faith, where you meet Sea, or C, or Christine, for the first(? - have to look at the chronological order) time, she went to University, got great marks, and a landed a job at a prestigious company. I don't remember all the details as it doesn't really pertain to the game's story other than her being MCs half-sister.
I'm chalking it to her being like Ash in Friends in Need, where she sounds kind of bimbo-y or ditzy, but actually has intelligence under there. Just have to get past the given reason Ash talks like she does.

C (cannonically not Sea, that was a mistake the LoF MC made), is not a bimbo, not loose, and not an airhead. She is intelligent, and suffers from extreme clumsiness when she gets nervous. She is sweet and extremely intelligent, but possibly suffers from social anxiety disorder, or some other anxiety issues. Possibly ADHD, which would explain the clumsiness more, but we don't get a heck of lot of direct insight in LoF.

As someone with ADHD, I wouldn't really consider her to have ADHD. Maybe ADD, but that's pushing it. Also, clumsiness is not an ADHD trait, at least not physical clumsiness like her.

These days, there is no official diagnosis as ADD. It's all ADHD, just with specific expressions. I know, because my daughter has it. One of the main issues is hyperkinetic movement, causing lots of spills and falls, though inattention or moving too quickly. In other words: clumsiness.
Adding this later (because Neurodiversity): Also, especially in females, Autism is often misdiagnosed as ADHD, due to social masking and other differences in how Autism presents often in girls.

I actually know a number of people IRL that are book-smart but street-dumb (or at least awkward) like Sea. And they can be quite fun to be around for their inherent entertainment value.
