Either I'm stupid and I don't get the controls, orrr there appears to be an issue where they just.. don't work. At all. From the few comments in this thread, I'm inclined to believe I'm not the only one having this issue.
In my case, Z and X work fine, but neither WASD nor the Arrow Keys, nor any other key interact with the game. Can't move in-game, can't move in the menu, nothing. Any fixes?

Always a fan of Namako's pixel animations, but hearing the game is so short is disappointing.

idk why but mine says virus detected and deletes the file immediately so i cant even play the game lol

If you are using windows, you should be able to go to the Control Panel->Update&Security->Windows Security->Virus and Threat Protection->Protection History->Last Threat Blocked->Actions->Allow

I know the game is short (and pretty easy), but might as well. Although those playing on their own, that bullet attack is better for the last 2 bosses, assuming you don't just skip the trigger for the spider boss.

It's not. Tentacles, spiders, some other monsters... a dog-like thing, and a lot of doppelganger scenes

The reaction to the game is funny because-yeah, it's easy, I'll give you that. But I guarantee a "longer" version of this game would just be more padded out, and a lot of you grind lovers would think it's better that way while everyone else would just roll their eyes and either cheat through it or go play something else.
The simple and short gameplay is a result of where the artist's time went, the animations... and anyone who knows anything about animating knows that it's very time consuming. The combination of "making attractive art and animations takes a lot of time" and "most players only care about the porn in porn games" is why, when games like this aren't short, they're almost always full of grindy repetitive nonsense. Speaking for myself I enjoy something that doesn't outstay its welcome.

Why I'm saying this? Because I literally can't even select anything on the God damn menu, only the Z and X buttons work.
I've tried running the game under Locale Emulator and it's not possible, I've tried changing the date/format to japanese and nope, I've tried changing the regional settings to my native country (not japanese) and didn't work.
The only thing that worked and this was stupid strange was when I extracted the game from winrar under UTF-8 encoding and I couldn't only move left or right on the stage selection, but after entering the gallery I could no longer even do this anymore... and the next extractions from winrar didn't work anymore.
What the actual fck man?
I mean, the only thing I'm missing as I can see it is trying to use Joypad. But why even? Do you even need that?...
EDIT* I was an idiot! I had vJoy installed and this game detected that. As soon as I removed vJoy the problem was solved!
Make sure you don't have any joystick emulators installed! I hope this helps anyone experiencing the same issue.
