I think to say the least, this is an overreaction, and you don't need to be concerned at all Mr. Unaware. These changes only apply if you make 200K per year AND have 200K installs from your game. For an adult/porn game it's nearly impossible to make that kind of money so you can keep using Unity as you currently do without any changes required. Even if you have 200K public version installs, you still don't have to pay them a penny because you aren't profiting enough and way below the threshold.

Taken directly from their -
" Please note: It is important to remember that games that do not reach the revenue threshold, including games that are not monetized in any way, are not required to pay the per-install fee. "

They're targeting mobile games and predatory F2P games that make millions off the back of Unity using advertisements, and they don't see that money coming back to them. These companies show losses and other accounting tomfoolery to get away with paying as little as possible to them so by tracking and charging for installs, they can still get a piece of the pie.

Regardless, there's likely going to be an insane backlash and legal cases soon from Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo because according to Unity, these companies are liable to pay for the installs and not the developer (like using xbox's game pass or sony's subscription). After that, I'm pretty sure they will either revert these changes or delay them indefinitely.

johnyakuza1 You are right, after checking their website again I saw there's "AND" between $$$ and installs, while I don't know now whether they changed it from OR to AND after the backlash, or multiple websites that were talking about it gave false information. Anyway, I mentioned in my post that it doesn't really affect me and in the worst case scenario I will remove public version, but if it's not the case anymore, then it's not the case. Basically, it's still a dick move and cheap cash grab, and if people allow it to pass in any form (like with the famous horse armor in TES: Oblivion), we will get more and more of that crap and in more severe form over the time. Anyway, gonna observe the situation, but if they go with such low tactics, it's obvious they gonna pull something again.

Nah that "AND" was always up there, it's just twitter and reddit love to spread misinformation and ragebait and other news websites gobble that up and citing their sources as those posts and tweets. The per-install fee is the newest hoopla right now and Unity could've handled the situation a bit better... No doubt their move was shady shit but it's highly exaggerated and they aren't trying to rip off the little guy here

You should keep an eye out for sure (even moving onto a different engine for your next project), but as I said, nothing will remotely change or affect you or literally most other developers on this forum.

Earning 200K USD would be one hell of a thing, wouldn't it? :KEK: :KEK:

Any developer would be insane to trust to Unity ever again after this, though I suppose there's also the problem that if Unity could spontaneously go this insane, anyone could.

9 is good if you want a character that looks disgusted by things. which i imagine is some peoples thing. and 1 looks disapointed which may also be a thing. i prefer my ladies into it, so im here for 4 and 6 personally :)~

I like 3, 4, 6, 7, and 8.
I dislike 9.
I suspect these are meant to be neutral expressions, but 9 definitely doesn't feel neutral. It's good that you're giving a spread of choices in any case, as tastes will no doubt vary.

I like all of those lips tbh, even 9 which looks kind of strange fulfills it's own niche. Picking three to drop out of that list would be difficult IMO.

I agree that 9 is the weirdest of all. We wanted to try something different by making teeth visible, but it's hard to make unique base lips, so we won't experiment with them, but with their animations/expressions instead.

And as you all can see your tastes are so different from each other and that's exactly why we needed the poll :p We don't have resources to go with more than 10 lips for now (it might sound simple to add, but it's really not), and I believe that with 10 variants for each face part it's enough to make something likeable by everyone.

Thanks a lot for voting!

When do you plan on releasing the next public update?
If you check his Patreon, he's currently dealing with something personal and will be taking a few weeks off from this project to square things away.
