Traveling in the exalted Shinden, he arrives at the student dormitory known as Tsubasa Dorms, only to find... every other tenant is a woman!!

Hirosawa Hikari is drop-dead gorgeous! Too bad she also happens to be the world's cutest encyclopedia of useless plane knowledge.
Big surprises for our boy, Junichi -- Sasaki Kazusa shares the same last name AND the same bedroom with him now! She's a bit of an airhead with some nasty sleeping habits.
Jinno Nahoko is the sophisticated student council president with a handle on everything (and I MEAN everything) that happens around the school.
And Matsumoto Mimari, the mystery girl who paid for an entire plane in a single payment on her card.

Looks interesting just wondering why they used a shin den though it doesn't exactly have a good track record or impressive feat heck it didn't even make it out of testing. PS can some tell me if the plot is basically girl und panzers but with planes?

That's one lucky bastard. Here I am at my college suffering through the sausage fest that is an engineering college (3 to 1 male/female ratio).

Edit: On a side note, do you guys think that's why we see all these porn games starting with this backstory? All the creative people suffering through this type of situation desperate for contact with even a single member of the opposing sex start making stories in that dream scenario of being surrounded by attractive people of that sex.

I think it has more to do with the fact that an all male dorm would make a very shit story for your average straight person.

Put a guy into the female dorm and you have endless amounts of fun. Put a woman in a male dorm and you have many men al after 1 woman.

I'll probably still download this once my MEGA is freed up, but I don't want to be going through the story and find all the charm of the story derailed by lazy translations.

I sure hope i have the luck of one day finding another galge that doesn't feature the usual bland stock protagonist.
I swear i like the genre. But even if the girls are cute and interesting, seeing everything through the eyes (and thoughts) of the avegare protagonist of this type of vn is almost always a miss with high chances of boring me.

Still reading through the prologue and i feel i can already predict how this being called Sasaki Junichi will behave through the rest of this, sigh. I hope i'm wrong, though.

I believe the developers said in an interview they wanted to use unknown planes from the war. In terms of Japan, that's... well pretty much everything made after the Zero, the rest never saw enough action to really develop a reputation outside of air enthusiasts. Also, the game is made in japan, so it makes sense to pick a Japanese aircraft.

Though personally I'm just waiting for the airplane themed VN that has the protagonist flying a fucking Blackburn Roc or something else dumb.

Nope. Though even if there was a quick way to change his name the voice acting would still refer to him as Junichi (or Sasaki-san).
