i asked other candidates to go fight some monsters, but i only received some training in return. should i go there alone? or repeat defeating multiple monsters?
Delivering a captured monster whose flag skills you already know only gives you experience, and it's probably not worth the risk. In any given playthrough, there will be two sets of skills that you can learn from monsters when you first reach the Gleaming Caverns. If you get into a battle against a monster that you didn't want to hunt, you can run away.

Since her relationship with Valtan is also a very important factor, it's just more productive to take them both to conversation at the same time, raise their good moods, and have them have sex (easier if you invite Valtan while Claw is following you), since both the conversation and the scene will raise their relationship. You might come across with difficulties to achieve this early, since any of them (and most especially Claw) could sometimes get into hostile behavior that ruins everyone's mood in the conversation. Despite it all, I still recommend not to obsess over passing that check, you don't need it to get a good ending in the adventure.
I would add to this that it is still an extremely difficult check that you are probably not meant to pass in most playthroughs (not just in the sense that it isn't required, but also in the sense it may not even be worthwhile the necessary time and effort investments).

Also you would probably need to get Valtan to take as many of Claw's virginities as possible in egalitarian sex sessions since that gives some solid relationship boosts (avoid them from being taken during combat since that increases enmity and would be a waste), and if you are tagging along for the sex, try to focus on getting Claw to orgasm as many times as possible as that enhances their relationship and drive gains.

I'll likely need quite a bunch of new updates before I can tell how I feel about the development of the story in this one (because I am on 1 hand not a fan of about anything that happened - on an entirely personal level - but I also can't tell where things go from there) cause I don't see how a Valtan romance could ever work now, but at the same time I am pretty surprised and think you did a good job of creating something believable, yet (at least to me) something that wasn't foreseeable at all. I will admit though that I think I don't like the Shapeshifters (in general) at all. :LOL:

That aside I'm more intrigued than ever to see where the story goes, and it's great that you're back. :)

The majority of mechanics that deal with drives, in practice, treat them like they're fractions. For example, if you want a character to stop assaulting others and instead make them seek consensual sex, it'll be more efficient to raise their love than lowering their domination, because the options that raise drives are more efficient than those that lower them, so you should instead just seduce them to bed.
I see. As far as ambition goes, what exactly lowers ambition outside of combat itself? If Claw's pretty much friendly with everyone, does ambition go down with time?

I think the two things that sent me off about that check was how much time I specifically devoted to those two being on good terms, and still winding up failing. The entire run I just said "Eh these two will make good allies to keep me from being targetted" yet still somehow wound up failing a check specifically designed around those two. The devotion put there and winding up dry shocked me a bit.
I think the other point was just that checks do feel... Too often/tight? Getting hit with "Failure" for things you don't really felt like you had the tools to prepare for at all too often can feel like you aren't playing the game correctly-- which throws off someone's momentum when they feel like they're getting the hang of the game. This doesn't apply to the said Claw check-- moreso a global thing I've noticed. I think Ash's hug scene with the shapeshifter village was oddly warm considering I rarely did much with her in my run, which felt very generous compared to the other failures I got hammered with despite trying to meet the demands. Despite the character being a person like the rest, it seems like their actions do way more weight than the rest of the team when it comes to social checks.
But yeah thanks for responding on the ambition part-- I'm still a bit lost on how it exactly gets reduced outside of combat, myself.
While I mostly don't share your experiences with the game & how it unfolds I do definitely think you aren't trying to be a douche but you seem clearly enthralled by the game as well. So while I hope the Dev doesn't fundamentally change things in the direction you suggest I do hope that, in the future, maybe things will be a bit clearer & also maybe that, by either difficulty or some other setting, player's who would like more controllable impact on the other candidates, get an option for it, while those who love the randomness can still have that by just playing "standard" game mode, or whatever.
I wouldn't say I necessarily want the player to control things more, moreso I think the player shouldn't really be such a main pillar when it comes to drives-- since without the player the characters seem to be complete jackasses despite behaving totally different around the player. The amount of influence the MC has over the other candidates is insane compared to their natural defenses to it.

You're making me feel like the chosen hero, here. Of course, after going through the settings in depth before starting a game, I inevitably end up forgetting all about them after I start playing and have the context needed to realize I should change one of those settings. Then I sit there grumbling about how I wish I could change it.

Interesting project. The premise is fun and so far the implementation has potential. Now quick question, any plans on adding futher description of the characters such as breats and penis size?

I was initially against this because it would mean adding more character data that could already be imagined by the player and wouldn't add much to the actual gameplay, but after considering some feedback from the players and some discussions with Chili Cherry, it's possible we'll actually implement these after all.

Thank you for answering! With what depth do you intend to implement that? Do you intend to have characters noticing and reacting to different measurements?
I understand the complicated amount of programming you need to make that work, I am just curious because one of my pleasures in porn games is having the bigger dick and showing off to the chicks lol.
At the very least, it would be nice if you could either choose or change the size of your penis.

At the very least, it would be nice if you could either choose or change the size of your penis.
There should probably be some flavor in the generic dialogues, but that should be an afterthought after the meatier features are ready. Naturally, if we implement sizes, these will be subject to modification via transformation scenes.

Any prediction for when that happens? I am also curious about the magic system and how deep you intend to make (training, choices, amount of spells).

No prediction yet. I already have a pretty large list of things to do in the following versions, before the second adventure (more on this next week), and I'll have to gauge how the game is evolving by the end of it.

is there a list anywhere of future tags that will and wont be included? or is pretty much everything up in the air based on development progression?

The main tags that are expected to be in the game are probably already there, save for maybe minor things that might be added at the very end such as multiple endings and perhaps pregnancy. If something that isn't currently tagged makes an appearance, it will be probably minor enough that still wouldn't deserve the tag.
