It doesn't mean it is the smartest choice. Someone in Elena's position wouldn't risk getting fired or worse.
still a choice...i mean in some games the badass-choice is the right choice, and in other games the badass-choice is the wrong choice

maybe pissing off Zachary will bring him to seek for revenge, but by then MC may have a solution and gain some extra confidence or have another chance to humiliate him...who knows

it's still a choice, it's up to us to decide

my point still stands: we're given a choice, either it's smart, stupid or anything else: a choice is still a choice.

And her choice was to not make a hollow point that could endanger the whole education system of this town because she should for once to standup for a guy who still decided to not engage in school. Also just because she is friends with Alice doesn't mean she also has to be friends with the MC by proxy.

True, it's a story about the dude with problems and how he overcomes them.
For over 3 months I was taking writing classes on how to create a good story.
I learned that Desire, Weakness, and Need of the main character are very important, it's the spine of the story. That's why I focus so much on those aspects. But seems all this negative feedback makes me doubt myself and my skills, I simple don't know what to do next.
I know its frustrating but some of that feedback can help you improve the game.

Elena claims to be one of the best friends of MC's mom, would you be friends with someone like that in real life?
Be friends with someone who sells himself for money? It's all a matter of morality, and Elena has none.
Also, did Elena just not tell her 'friend' Alice that her son is skipping most of his classes and that he won't be getting the recommendation? Seems weird that she waits until after MC misses out on the much needed opportunity of free college to try to help him with his issues.

MC is not a saint, but Elena fucked things up a lot.
As the MC said she just wants to hurt people's feelings. She knew from the start that he would not be accepted and did nothing.

she could even say nothing about her own vote...i mean, during elections your vote must be secret(unless you go out yelling who you voted for...but until then you're allowed to keep it a secret)

and yeah the principal said it's unanimous(meaning that everyone voted the same thing) but my issue is that "i voted against you because i'm doing a favour to you, so while you're here, you better thank me and of course, no hard feelings" kind of attitude

that attitude that annoys me

it's like your bestfriend rapes your wife, she tells you about it and the next day, that same bestfriend salutes you like nothing happen, confesses his crime and tells you "no hard feelings, we're still friends, don't worry" like he decides for you, that you're still friends, that it's up to him deciding if the friendship will either continue or not.

All I want is that Waifston does not force a romantic interest without the player's consent.
In the old version the choices were kind of useless as in the Christmas episode Waifston forced a 'fuck fest' with characters that I didn't even interact with. Some people will defend Elena and others will judge her attitude. I just want to have the choice of not having any interaction with her after this episode.

This thread is so toxic. "I'll support you only if you do exactly what I want and nothing else." grow up and do something that isn't a porn game. There is nothing interesting about starting a game with a perfect protagonist, those are just fuckfests(which are fine). It is clear that is not the direction waifston wants to continue in. The old game still exists if thats what you want. No matter how you feel about the demo, its whats best for the future of the game. If a developer keeps making a something they aren't passionate in, the project will suffer. There is far more dialogue and care for the story in the short demo than was in the game previously. The game will be better once given the time to be developed.

I feel the main problem with Elena is the fact we are all judging her off the previous encounters in the 'better' original story that was created and how different she was compared to people feeling like she has totally backstabbed him and his mother. I really feel this is one of those cases where it's like 'why fix something if it's not broken' scenarios!!
Yeah the Christmas edition was a complete and utter fuck fest that didn't really need to be done but I get it was done for the fans as a special reward.

I personally feel as tho the dev could have stuck with the same story and upgraded the game around it instead of creating a new story that's going to make people 'compare' certain characters to what they have previously seen and it's going to leave a little bit of a bitter taste in there mouths.
This is just my own personal opinion on things and it would be a shame for the dev to discontinue this game due to some feedback that isn't positive after the hard work he has put into this game for us all to enjoy.

I think the Christmas episode was just that, an optional episode for Christmas as a bonus. In the old version of the game you could go for anyone you wanted you could ignore anyone you didn't want to interact with.

You’re not wrong cuz it’s pretty much what’s currently happening to Laura from the MNL remake.

Pretty much all of the new comments from that thread are complains about the “new” Laura, I won’t said what the changes are (cuz that’d be spoilers) but they’re enough for people to keep talking about for days on end (kinda like what’s happening to the remake Elena right now).

I understood what you meant, but when I criticized Elena I used the information that was presented at DEMO.

She is still friends with the MC's mother. Not just a friend, but a friend for decades, since high school. I don't know the others, but when I formed my opinion about Elena I judged her actions present and not the past. My answer is not exactly for you, I just want to make it clear why I criticized Elena in this new version of the game.

I just hope Waifston doesn't end up abandoning this or something, this game has one of the best animations+sex scenes in VN's. They're really interactive in the old version and it seems they will be even more interactive in the future so I hope it doesn't go away.

I don't think he will actually give up.
He's been working on this game for almost two years and recently he managed to beat his goal at Patreon. He just can't be depressed every time a new update is released.

Just do your shit. That's your game, your characters, your story and you can't satisfy everyone anyway.

Well after having passed the demo / prologue of this remake, I really have to say that it left me a really sad feeling or rather a truly depressing feeling, completely different from the feeling it left you when playing the original game. The only good and interesting thing is that it is seen that there is a great improvement in terms of quality in renders and animations by the developer, but in relation to the new story there are not many positive points to highlight at least for me.

The worst thing for me is the decision that our protagonist seems to be making at the end of the prologue, since the only way he has to go out or solve his problems is to get someone's help to see if he can get a woman. influential and with enough money (aka Elnea, Principal, etc), which is really pathetic and sad.

Did someone post an ultimatum like that? I must have missed that.

There is nothing interesting about starting a game with a perfect protagonist
I don't think I saw any requests for a perfect protagonist either. There's nothing wrong with starting from the bottom, many games do that but right now it feels more extreme. Personally, I'd be fine all the issues the MC has if he didn't act idiot too.

I'm still more concerned about gameplay than story. This is a sandbox game and I'm worried that choice consequences, choosing between reputation and romance points, different mentors create 'routes' with exclusive content/girls.
That can be great in VNs because that how those games give the players control but in sandbox games its restrictive. Sandbox games should be about freedom. If you like a girl you click on her location on the map and if you don't like her you just avoid her. A player should be able to access every girl in the game in one single playthrough. Having to do multiple playthroughs to access all the content especially when there's grind really sucks. Minor example of this in the og version when he added special scenes for losing virginity to each girl after I already had my MC lose his virginity so I had to restart and grind money/relationships again. Also, all these variables can create bugs. This is the reason why so many users on this forum avoid sandbox games. Buggy sandboxes are very frustrating.

So that is the main thing I hope Waifston will consider. He's already great with the visuals so if the sandbox gameplay isn't too convoluted this game will definitely be good.

You didn't see any requests because there are none.
Some people are bilingual, they speak their native language and speak a lot of shit that they don't know about.

I don't think anyone is bothered by the fact that the protagonist starts at the bottom.
The problem is that the protagonist doesn't seem to have what it takes to improve his life on his own. The situation is so depressing and pathetic that the protagonist suggested marrying a wealthy woman just for the money.

this, exactly this

i asked to know IF MC has some positive traits at all...like maybe he is sneaky or good into verbally manipulating people, or if he is like super smart; although the dialogues seems to confirm the opposite: not only MC is physically weak, has School Refusal Syndrome and he skips school a lot because of it, but he is not even a good student.

Like his initial situation is so desperate that i'm genuinely asking if there is anything positive about him, like a trait he has that makes the situation a bit less desperate

A character with some flaws becomes interesting, but you give your new protagonist so many and so many problems that right now he is just a miserable loser, like seriously he is physically and mentally weak, socially awkward with anxiety and burst of rage, laughable small with the body of a twelve year old and as imposing as one, I would not be surprise if he is also being bullied by his classmates, even the girls. I mean, by this point why stop there? Why not make him him fat, ugly and with a small dick?

And this is a harem game (I think still is). So... are we supposed to believe that this protagonist is about to be drowning in pussy? There is no suspension of disbelieve that will accommodate that, what woman with two eyes and a brain will ever want to be involve with someone like that?
