The reason this game gets more of a splash when it got here compared to other racist games is very simple. It's currently trending. There are videos with plenty of views on Youtube that talk at length specifically about this game. So it's incredibly fresh in the minds of countless people currently who then see it posted here.
"Conservatives" didn't flood in to attack it. More than likely, there are very few actual conservatives here to begin with, goes against the whole ethos of being stuffy and moral people. A wide range of libertarians though, no doubt.
The racist games that didn't get much of an outcry in the past didn't get much of an outcry because most people just passed over it, uninterested in the premise. Would've happened here too if not for the trendy topic.
As to the game itself, I think the artstyle is shit. And while I wouldn't play it myself due to it having no appeal to my tastes as a gynephilic(generally straight) man. I can enjoy a game with trans characters, if any of them actually look like women. There is definitely a desire for quality games with gay and non-white options, so I encourage part of the goal. However, it's clear they didn't set out to make a GOOD game, merely a diverse game.
That's the thing when you preface words and ideas with other unrelated things. You tend to butcher it.
I encourage any who read this to judge for themself if this is the type of game you wanna play. Seems to have NO PORN in it, merely talking about sex and unrelated topics.

I'd argue that the only reason that it even ended up in the news, was the nature of the game and a good bit of what's said in it.
Things like one bio saying quite simply "Fuck White People".
Then there's one of the dev team, who on twitter tweeted out, then deleted "Murder is okay, as long as it's a white person." This was followed by some tweets from them calling for a holocaust against anyone who isn't a person of color. That tweet got promptly deleted after supporters of the game asked if Jewish people should be included, to which the developer said something to the effect of "Well, they're white aren't they?"

WOW! This game looks and the comments read like this is the SJW-Ideology given form in a game that isn't even good (which is par for the course I guess).

It's literally the stereotypical "tumblr" style. It tries too hard to be anime with realistic body parts (especially the noses, yikes). I mean, if you like it it's fine since it's a personal opinion ofc, but it's nothing unique.

See, a good sex game wouldn't have stopped it here.
Instead it would have gone :

I consider myself pretty out there in the conservative axis, but I not once threw hate towards this game, because it's either a dev's insane delusion or a wonderful and financially successful shitpost. And every day I'm leaning harder towards the shitpost theory.
Credit where credit is due, though: They made their own game instead of bothering other people to change theirs. Well, maybe they did that first, but it's progress nontheless. It's just like I say on those race-bender edits on R34: do something new that everyone can (maybe) enjoy instead of shoehorning it in somewhere.
