Guess we're stuck with yaoi forever if this is the future of western gay games. At least the characters in those games are mostly cute and the developers usually aren't anti-white racists.

I don't mind gay blacks or trans gay men but a fat non-binary person who's sole purpose is to fill up inclusivity checks really doesn't do it...

Sooo.. I played all the routes. Here's what I found:

You pick 4 protags.. a gay man, a straight woman, a genderqueer male, and a lesbian female. Only the lesbian has a choice of dates. There is NO imagery of sexual activity or even nudity. There is none of that. Only the dialogues and situations are of a sexual/adult nature because sex is briefly referred to in a couple routes. But stereotypes and tropes are everywhere here.. including the art and dialogues. It's intentional IMO to portray inner city art and culture. The dialogue is not blatantly racist but it does mirror real inner-city dialogue which may take getting used to for many of you. It's more about the frustration with the living situations and the complexity of it all as a young black adult coming out and that's part of the "stereotypes and tropes" I've referred to. Again, those not in the know or who haven't seen it like I have might not get that drift...
All in all, I can see what you mean by racism and honestly, I think one of the dev team's comments hurt the game more than it should have. Yeah the art's odd, but that's inner city art. Even beggar of net uses it in "My New Life" and he's even got similar situations in there but without the viewpoint of being an young black adult who grew up in the city. That's why the dialogue is the way it is since it's a fact of life there. So it's ripping off the band-aid and showing you the ugly cut and it's repulsive.
In short, it's not the best game but it's also not the worst.
Personally I'd rate this as a 5 or 6 out of ten and if the dev team reads this comment, please consider doing more of a prologue to explain all this so it's not "wtf?" reactions or at least figure something out because not everyone playing this is an inner city black person. I'm not black but I'm a poor white dude who's lived in the ghettos of a couple cities. So I get a point.. a little bit. And I think you've got a point, devs. But again, it's a little different and raw compared to most porn games ppl are used to playing. Edited to add.. you could honestly do without the preaching in some parts of the dialogue but again, that does happen IRL. So it's tough to find a balancing act here. You either hit it or you don't.

Just found out about this due to the gay tag. All I have to say is, the depicted diversities (and more) in this game? I say this as unironically as possible, they do not claim this. That's all I have to say. Carry on. (I swear this game gives hardcore second-hand embarrassment )
)This is honestly one of the worst things about this game, not a selling point. The 6+ different art styles being forced together is immediately obvious, extremely jarring, and awful. It's like squirting chocolate syrup into orange juice to make it more sweet. It doesn't help that the BGs, writing, and most of the art styles look like shit.
