My mistake. The Beta 1.1 release was on .19 this month and the VAM2 Hub opened on .20 this month.Huh? It says Thread is from 2022.
But thanks for letting me know. So I should just go to the VAM discord and download scenes from there? Does Vam 2 has a lot of content yet? Or just a few people experimenting?
Overall how is the rigging\skinning handled for an imported character?Frankly, the wait was worth it. You could say the hard work was done.
1) unprecedented graphical improvements compared to other human-skinned games (and to think it runs in real time), it looks better than the amateur renderings of DAZ3D and Cyberpunk, and all that power in virtual reality is promising.
2) the character import system is practically ready (which is one of the most difficult and important aspects).
3) scene saving.
4) realistic lighting plus HDRI maps.
5) object importing.
All that's left is to perfect the animation editor, and you could say you can start creating scenes.
This is clearly a very significant leap forward for future content creation for all possible ideas in adult games. The only thing missing would be to match the animation of the metahumans, or better yet, allow their direct import, and we'd be looking at the most practical and efficient video game creation tool created to date. Virtually all of Unity's evolution and programming work is condensed here in Vam. Anyone who thinks this is easy work must have no idea about creating, programming, and improving 3D graphics in video game engines.
We're practically just a few months away from being able to use Vam2 just like Vam1.

In the armpit there is a strange fold in that position, but the elbows and forearms look fine.Overall how is the rigging\skinning handled for an imported character?
I presume the rigging is done in Unity?
The bent over ass seems to have some odd contortions on the lower glutes? Much better than Vam 1 of course.

VL_13 uploaded some great hip morphs recently.
Could you post some further tests from Vam2? I'm curious to see how the skinning looks with elbows bent, arms raised above head, knees bent into squat poses etc.![]()
Bro, did anyone tell you GPUs are really good at rendering simple stuff like this? It's not 2005 anymore. You have no real physics in, no motion, the environment is an empty flat space.Frankly, the wait was worth it. You could say the hard work was done.

Maybe you just need more RAM. How much do you have?My biggest issue (by far) in VAM are the loading times. Whenever i load a "more complex scene" or characters, it takes about 3-8 minutes until the loading is finished. I kinda hate how this is handled and that there is no way to cancel loading. Like, when a scene is loading a complex character but you will end up loading one of your own anyway, just to find that all this loading has bloated your RAM and the client starts crashing. This is an extremely annoying issue.
Has this significantly improved over VAM1?
Because i sure hope so. Would be nice to see actual levels at some point.
The improvements by the engine upgrade alone are huge. VAM1 ran on a 2018 version of Unity, there where so many limitations to it that it was a miracle it looks this way now. I wouldn't say the graphical improvement of VAM2 would be state of the art or something, but the improvements brings the software up to date with the current technology and will benefit from the current GPUs.Bro, did anyone tell you GPUs are really good at rendering simple stuff like this? Say it runs again after there are soft physics and complex hairstyles, clothes, and environments in. When it at least matches VAM 1 performance, it'll be a success.
Right now you can load up into VAM 1 into flat plane, have 1 character with all but basic physics off, and a few lights. What's your FPS? High, right?
You can find themWhere can i download new assets for vam2? I didn't find anything on the vam site
Same. Also, I find everything very confusing compared to VAM1. Like, where's the hub and shit? Maybe it's because of the difference. It took me a really LONG time to get into VAM1.Where can i download new assets for vam2? I didn't find anything on the vam site
Where do I save stuff? Can I acess this via VAM2 or do I have to manually download the resources and place them in a folder? You can find themYou must be registered to see the links.
Keep in mind that the " VaM2 Resource Categories" were opened on 20th of July - so there are only 4 downloads available. You might find more content in the discord channels of certain creators, but I didn't see anything useful yet.
Thanks, i search in the discord but i didn't find anything, maybe i just need to wait...You can find themYou must be registered to see the links.

Nice ! Thanks for testing out the rigs more.In the armpit there is a strange fold in that position, but the elbows and forearms look fine. View attachment 5097791
Here it looks like a strange gap. View attachment 5097796
And I see practically no errors in the arrangement and distance between Vagian and Anus.

It's not perfect yet, but the same community of creators will improve the characters later. We would have to implement a way to repaint these weights in Autodesk Maya and then in Unity. It is possible, it is possible. In DAZ3D it could also be done, but the tools are horrible.

For Vam2, he helped me via DMs, when I was having issues with the Add-on kit and he has done so with several others and all the issues he finds will be addressed or the knowledge of workarounds, due to how and regional differences, will be shared in the community. And as for payment, he has said time and time again, that he doesn't expect people to stay subscribed, in-between releases. But I am not here to argue or change your mind, just telling you what is widely known in the community. Are you even on the discord, btw?I disagree considering he refuses to restrain his insane moderation team (AshAuryn) that have cut down so many of the creative content makers it's actually insane. He doesn't reply to his paying clientele either. There's basically no PR and no accountability, and the remaining people around him are all yes men. He's dragged his heals producing something that people like myself paid years for. All this time for what he's produced, while not bringing in help and cutting into profits to deliver. He clearly is over his head. Yeah they produced a tech demo, but far, far too late in the lifecycle. Most of the most creative and unique minds have split from the official channel. I'm hoping whoever is left does the heavy lifting with 2.0 because with the recent "events" going on in the digital world we may not have long before VaM is unable to make money outside of Bitcoin and unable to be hosted outside of some hidden proxy.

AshAuryn banned me from the Discord after an argument in DMs when I was asking why my screenshots were banned from the Hub, even though another user who was popular and made the same content for years was not. Guys what's in the 1.1.1? Just some fixes?
So basically no addons/plugins yet, what comes built in in VAM2 that was part of addons in VAM1? Any systems for stuff like bulges, cum physics, auto thrust/alignment of cocks/vags, etc? Or just model posing, basic shape adjustment and physics and timeline? You can find themYou must be registered to see the links.
