I am playing in very hard and i got a question, one of my strategy was to put every member of each squad with a extra medallion that gave the option to boost his race,in normal it was a decent strategy but i don't know in very hard it doesn't seem to help very much,am i mistaken or does this strategy become obsolete in harder dificults?

The damage bonus from that sort of becomes irrelevant after hard mode aka. very hard. Hard physique, helmet split, and such is much more important. Where the race boosting stuff is merely a neat little bonus on some items.

Is there a walkthrough for this game that is as well presented as ? I think I found a couple but they're mostly just saying what different choices do and don't focus on the bigger picture (yes I know being a dick is going to give me conquest, gee thanks).

EDIT: Closest thing I found was another guide by the same author

Personally I found the Steam guide very confusing and hard to follow along. I used the one on gamefaqs:

I'm about to try this game but I have a question, since the torrent link version is 1.01 do I need to slowly upgrade it to 1.08 before applying the 1.09 patch?

No, you can just apply the latest patch. It's not a half-baked prototype like 99% of the games here.

I'm playing this in hardmode for the first time without any guide, I SPENT 5 MINUTE looking how to attack. oh boy this gonna be one hell of a journey, am I masochist for always playing game on hardest (not including any perma death) difficulty on first run?

This game is really difficult even on normal. You are in for a world of pain if you play it on hard on your first try. This isn't like your typical AAA games out there.

Would strongly advise you to join the Discord so veterans can lubricate your journey. There are also mods that make the experience significantly better (ALL HAIL GOD ILIH). This game has a pretty high entry barrier so if you're trying to play it solo you're most likely going to give up as soon as chapter 2 (unless you're in your late 10s or early 20s something).

alright I have a question, what does growth type mean? I saw a lot of troop have S growth type and some of them have A
does it mean when they lvl up the stat growth will mainly go to the S stat if they have S growth type? or S is just straight up better than A if its follow the S A B C D tier
I cant find the explanation in tutorial and some enemy despite having the same level have double of my stat
man this game feels like it will have some kind of stupid exploit to make your self powerful quick (please dont tell me if there any, because I want to figure it out my self)

Growth tier is about level limits and what titles you can assign to a unit. Units with lower growth tiers are more front-loaded, that is to say, they don't grow as much, and have lower limits on the strength of the titles you can put on them, but you get more of their Ooomph value from the moment you recruit them.

In other words, D Tier and the like units can be decent in the early game or the 1st playthrough and whatnot, when you don't have many levels and don't have many titles unlocked. But for the really good formations, you want the S tier units, and you want to recruit them under optimal conditions with optimal titles. Though it's fine to recruit them initially to level them and raise loyalty and whatnot, and then re-recruit them later to improve their titles.

Commander units will be S tier if that's the highest Frontier had, or SS tier if it's like latter games. Don't remember.

Generally, by the time you really have your forces going and whatnot, the majority of your forces will be S Tier, with some A tier and the rare B and C Tier popping up as well. I don't remember enough about Frontier's unit set-up to say for sure. I also don't remember the level limit in Frontier, but if it follows other games, the S tier units can reach ~150, while the A tier would be 140, then B Tier 130, so on and so forth.

That said, also take into account the relative strength of a unit too. A Goblin might have S tier growth, but its skills and stats are still shit and no amount of titles are gonna fix that.
