What would you like me to add to the game in the next update?

  • The connection (police) mechanic. This would be a new "currency" and a new batch of upgrades.

  • More events and the possiblity for the packmakers to add some in their packs.

  • The possbility to train the skills of the girls

  • Progress the story and add story missions (mostly focused on Nicole)

  • Something else (tell me either by PM or in this thread).

My guess is that whatever else is going on behind the scenes, moving the 'doMissionary" and "doDoggy" directories to the modern 8.1 equivalents will always be a good thing. Just don't make duplicates. If there is a file with the same name in both directories, don't copy the old files, just delete.

Yeah, there'd be no dupes after it's done. There'd be no old folder after its done.

Zoom 2.0 seems a hit. Awesome.

I'm working on additional features for it as we speak.

1) I'm making whether the game automatically pauses or not when you zoom into a toggle in the player options.

2) I'm making it that the zoom will start on the frame of the video playing, rather than at the start of the video, because, well, it's supposed to be a 'zoom' feature, not a 'replay on big screen' feature.

3) Because some people might want it to start in the beginning, there's a button for that, so you can hit the button and just do it.

4) Also, why not a play-slider so you can rewind and fast forward as pleases you. Why not? Dare I say: Why. Not.

5) Cause some of ya'll are freaks, adding in a game setting that just automatically let you have the videos start already zoomed,

-------

Also making some adjustments to scramble mode's girl acquisitions, not happy with the progresion.

"Remove staff" button on the Hostess position doesn't seem to do anything for me. Additionally, I have three girls whose openness numbers do not apparently correspond to their actual openness. For example, one girl's openness was listed at "48" but the only action she would perform was "dance". She also appeared at the bottom of the list when I sorted by openness, below numerous mid-thirties girls. I believe all three of them came from the "Lottery" service, and two of them were also listed under the "recruit girls"section, and I believe their incorrect listed openness corresponds to the values they showed as recruits. (I can't check it because I stupidly rejected the duplicates). Good news is they do seem to go up in openness if you train them, as I was able to unlock pose for one of them with a number of lessons, but I don't know if the erroneous value is replaced with the correct one when it goes above (haven't gotten that far). Game mode was scramble with crown jewels, and the girls (if it matters) were Abella Danger, Autumn Falls, and Honey Demon.

Interesting, will see if I can find that myself.

Had the same exact issues, the way I got around the hostess one was just to swap the girl to a different role and then remove them from the other role/ie secretary

First, what does the game do with values in the json files, that don't match?

Second, how difficult is it to change these lists? I have done a review of all the packs I have, and I suggest the following modifications.

BustType
{ TINY, SMALL, MEDIUM, BIG, VERY_BIG }
BustType really should be renamed as BustSize, and as such, it seems to cover most everything. There are several attributes to breasts not covered, like AreolaSize, NippleSize, Natural/Fake, and what I will call 'Perkiness' (as opposed to the more negative-sounding 'Sagginess'.) But those are likely beyond the scope, and I am personally satisfied with simply covering size.

BodyType
{ PETITE, ATHLETIC, AVERAGE, VOLUPTUOUS, THICK }
This category is a bit of a mess, as it really covers shape, physical fitness, and size, all together. But I think with the addition of BBW as the biggest category, that I can live with it. (I see a lot of 'hourglass' used in the current packs, but I think VOLUPTUOUS covers that ok. I also see a lot of 'curvy' and 'chubby', but I think packmakers can cover those girls with one of VOLUPTUOUS, THICK, or BBW.)

My biggest regret in this category is that no two packmakers spell VOLUPTUOUS the same way. :)

EyeColor
{ BLACK, BROWN, BLUE, GREEN, HAZEL }
I would like to add: GREY, RED, GOLDEN, MULTI (for fictional characters and Mila Kunis, who actually have two different color eyes), and SILVER (for the robots). We should probably throw in an OTHER just in case.

HairColor
{ BLACK, BRUNETTE, BLOND, RED }
I would like to add: WHITE, MULTI (for multiple hair colors at once, not girls that change their hair color during their careers), GREEN, BLUE, DIRTY BLOND, AUBURN, ORANGE, GREY, and OTHER

If a girl changes hair color during her career, the packmaker should feel free to pick the color they want. I generally find in those cases, I have a pretty clear 'default' hair color I think of when I hear her name.

SkinComplexion
{ LIGHT, OLIVE, DARK }
To be honest, I wish this wasn't a thing. I would much prefer an explicit ETHNICITY category, because I think that is what people would rather search for in-game, or in a database like scutterhut's. That being said, makeup artists generally consider six complexion categories (because different techniques and palettes are used on this basis):
  • Type 1 - Extremely fair skin.
  • Type 2 - Fair skin.
  • Type 3 - Medium skin.
  • Type 4 - Olive skin.
  • Type 5 - Brown skin.
  • Type 6 - Black skin.
I would suggest: PALE, FAIR, MEDIUM, OLIVE, BROWN, BLACK.

(For our needs, there has to be an OTHER as well, to cover the fictional persons. I would rather not cover each separate color, just lump all the alien girls with weird skin or fur under OTHER.)

But makeup artists would generally find this unsatisfactory because makeup palette is also determined by three skin tones that modify the complexion: WARM (yellow/gold/peach), COOL (blue/pink/red), NEUTRAL (a mix of warm and cool). So stereotypical asian skin is generally WARM in the FAIR to BROWN area, while the stereotypical Native American skin is COOL from MEDIUM to BROWN. That being said, stereotypes are often wrong: actual humans can cover pretty much all of the 18 combinations of complexion and skin tone, regardless of heritage.

But unless they are a makeup professional, it is also extremely unlikely that packmakers will be accurate about skintones, and I am unaware of any major porn compendium that covers skin tone and complexion. I'd suggest we just stick to the six basic complexions plus OTHER, live with a lot of imprecision in this category, and call it a day.

In order to game mechanics with the broker, I made another extension to CaptC's python script "VCChecker":

It will check now, if the values of the descrtiptive traits are correct and will capitalize automatically the values for better results with the broker.
And some automatic QoL typo-handling:
e.g.: if the hairColor ist set to "blonde", it will change the value to "BLOND".

I will send CaptC a private message with the code snippet.
And if he will approve the changes, he might add the additional checks to his original script.
I have made the changes you suggested. Indeed, I couldn't have reviewed all my packs without those changes. Thanks!

I am going to hold off on publishing it until I know if there might be changes to the in-game attributes. If there are, I will update the script to whatever the new values are, and will then publish.

I think it just defaults to entry 0 in each list.

Second, how difficult is it to change these lists? I have done a review of all the packs I have, and I suggest the following modifications.
Adding, easy. Subtracting, breaks save files.

BustType really should be renamed as BustSize,
There's tens of thousands of lines of code and hundreds of girlpacks and changing an enum type or anything with namespaces is something I'd rather avoid if I can help it.

and as such, it seems to cover most everything. There are several attributes to breasts not covered, like AreolaSize, NippleSize, Natural/Fake, and what I will call 'Perkiness' (as opposed to the more negative-sounding 'Sagginess'.) I agree, but this is what I inherited, and any more attributes of this type will be harder to support from a mechanical aspect. There's a level of granularity that just isn't worth doing here.

I might figure out something for Streets of Venus which uses a completely different mechanical underbelly. I won't be using most of the JSON file for that, as it's going to have Scramble Mode by default, but I have some ideas for customization there that don't translate well into VC. But I'm getting ahead of myself, I still need to iron out its core.

This category is a bit of a mess, as it really covers shape, physical fitness, and size, all together. But I think with the addition of BBW as the biggest category, that I can live with it. Done. As well I added Blue into hair.

My biggest regret in this category is that no two packmakers spell VOLUPTUOUS the same way. :)
Can't help ya there.

I would like to add: GREY, RED, GOLDEN, MULTI (for fictional characters and Mila Kunis, who actually have two different color eyes), and SILVER (for the robots). We should probably throw in an OTHER just in case.
I mean I support heterochromata as much as the next guy but I'm not going to have multi, AND other.

But, GREY, RED, GOLDEN, SILVER, OTHER, added, done.

I would like to add: WHITE, MULTI (for multiple hair colors at once, not girls that change their hair color during their careers), GREEN, BLUE, DIRTY BLOND, AUBURN, ORANGE, GREY, and OTHER
Too granular. I'll give you WHITE, GREY, AUBURN, OTHER. Bear in mind any option I add in will make Brokers make less matches, so there's a limit I can go here.

If a girl changes hair color during her career, the packmaker should feel free to pick the color they want. I generally find in those cases, I have a pretty clear 'default' hair color I think of when I hear her name.
My preference is that it closely match the portrait, because visual consistancy. But everyone has their own way.

  • Type 3 - Medium skin.

You'll get LIGHT, OLIVE, DARK, PALE, MEDIUM, BROWN, OTHER. I cannot change DARK, because if that has references in the code, stuff breaks, and existing working girlpacks would mildly bend.

Yeah, that's a bit much for me.

I can also use OTHER as a catch category for packs that don't fit in the schema, something I'd be considering doing anyways.

This may make brokers a lot worse, it'll be super rare to get 3+ stars like this, but I'm willing to try it out.

I am going to hold off on publishing it until I know if there might be changes to the in-game attributes. If there are, I will update the script to whatever the new values are, and will then publish.
Consider it done. The next build will have them active. Adding options to an Enum list is really easy, and the way my broker code handles it is scalable, so I've gone ahead and added them. Subtracting will break the save file (specifically at the point where your recruited girls will have vastly different values than your saved girls) but this is an easy do.

As well, the JSON-reading algorithm now catches non-standard values and assigns the OTHER entry to them, so they'll at least work with the mechanics in the system.

Maybe im just lazy, but I would love a simple toggle to turn on/off of simply auto filling top to bottom requests as they come in. Probably not as easy to implement as it sounds.

Auto-fill is never going to happen. But, I do understand that dragging the mouse and such might not be ideal for all players (including myself) so I might at some point look to alternative control schema.

By adding some things to the schema that the broker uses off of the JSON file probably just saved me a shit ton of work checking and changing values in every single JSON file, lol, thanks to you and CaptC! I know its asking some but when you publish the new game update could you add into the zip the list of recognized strings that the broker uses, much like you did with the last game update and the list you did there? It would be much appreciated and would help with checking our JSON's for the appropriate wording used within game. I am referencing the string usage for hair, bust, body type, and skin per your convo with CaptC. Also, will this change the string usage recognized for the Theme Night for the Booths?

Eh, drag and drop is what it is. Not perfect but works, maybe a double click system if that is possible? Dont know if it is if you have two or more booths wanting a performance though....could end up throwing the computer into a soft-lock loop because it would literally confuse the game...lol

Yup.

And, yeah, I'll try to include documentation again.

As for controls for booth, I'm testing out a keyboard+mouse scheme right now that might also provide a workaround for when girls get trapped behind things.

As well, I've added a reroll button on the scramble mode recruitment screen that lets you reroll your starter and first two recruits provided you haven't recruited anyone yet.

While I respect CaptC's need for more precise jsons I feel like we probably would've benefited more (at least gameplay-wise) with just adding other to each category (the skin color changes are fine). 5 stars are already damn rare. I mean, red, silver, gold eyes? Every time I see a broker looking for that (admittedly my packs are all pornstars) I will be sighing. Sighing loudly!

Oh thank you for a reroll button! I hate to say it but I usually restart a couple of times in Scramble to get a good lineup of girls unless using firstgirl: true (which I use on and off). Most appreciated as a QOL issue!

I think the most stars I have seen so far are 4 and I am in the same boat as I use only pornstars also, lol. Although, I do like his suggestion as far skin tones go with adding a few, which Disgruntler has already done as far I know in the next update. But I do believe that there does a come a point of having too much info or being just a little bit too much detailed in the info. I am just here for the porn, man!

Wow, that was fast. Good work, Disgruntler! But... maybe TOO fast!

I said the things I said because (if you haven't noticed), I am a bit OCD when it comes to accurately describing things, and I was looking at things already in the packs I have collected. But I didn't think about how that would affect game play. I would be quite fine with condensing all the weird hair, skin and eye colors to either Other (or perhaps it would be better called Exotic?) Then all the fictional daemon and robot girls and such, just add one color to each category.

I do think we should have more accurate complexions, so thank you for taking my suggestion there.

I will note that having slightly more options for the brokers, just makes it more important to get movers and shakers, right?

As for theme nights, the game just looks at all the girls' attributes and picks the most common one, right? The way to min/max that is to never hire girls who don't have some trait in common. I will often make a run where I might only select blonds or asians or whatever today's kink is... and the theme nights tend to be pretty high level. And of course, the ultimate control over that is the player who only collects girlpacks that follow a theme to begin with.

Anyway, if you want to scale back on the changes you have made (before publishing a version that will lock things into save files), I am quite fine with that. I didn't mean to nerf anything. Just let us know what the final list is. And thanks for all the effort!

I was planning to expand the lists anyways.

As for the nerf to brokers, I've slept on it and I have an idea on how to lessen the impact, and also reduce instances of brokers asking for truly wierd impossible shit.

The new brokers' algorithm is no longer strictly randomrandom.

What it'll do, is it will pick a girl at random out of your entire girlpack list, and then set its attributes to her. The brokers will then pick another girl, and chance some of the traits to that other girl. This way, you'll end up with the brokers asking for stuff that actually exists in your list (though not necessarily in your club) and so if you have no one with OTHER skin and RED eyes, it will never trigger.
