What would you like me to add to the game in the next update?

  • The connection (police) mechanic. This would be a new "currency" and a new batch of upgrades.

  • More events and the possiblity for the packmakers to add some in their packs.

  • The possbility to train the skills of the girls

  • Progress the story and add story missions (mostly focused on Nicole)

  • Something else (tell me either by PM or in this thread).

Disgruntler out of curiosity, why is the base game without any Girlpacks more than 2.2 GB in size, what assets in this game are that big ?
This is not a criticism just curiosity, thx. ;)

Am I the only one who can not get the v9.4J started? $300 is not enough, and the $500 from the office still does not allow me to buy what I need to start the game. My old saves do not transfer so my "old money" do not help. Is this a bug or am I missing some thing?

I have the same issue. I can go down to -600 by chain recruiting the girls, finish the quest and get the 500 but then I can't even buy the free club upgrade.

Randomly starting earning "negative" money and now I can literally not do anything. I can't buy anything and after everynight instead of earning 60k, I just lose it.... all that time in one save just gone for what?
And it's always as soon as I hit the final club too. I've gone to 3 previous saves and each time, as soon as I hit final club all my earnings turn to negatives.
Same here, got to last club upgrade and money started deducting rather than adding

I went in `Girlpacks\*Girl Name*\JSON_data\Description.json` and changed the line `"moneyCost":xxx` .. which works short term or if you just started the game, but not something feasible if you have hundreds of girlpacks

In Scramblemode you start with a random girl don't know about normal. In normal you should start with 1 or 2 cheap girls and earn enough money before getting the 3rd. And buy the free upgrades before you recruit. It's easier that way

Have you finished Nicole's missions? Do you have an accountant?

As your club levels, it becomes harder and harder to manage without help. Hitting the Promote/Assign Staff button, you can assign an Accountant. The % of Accountant determines how effective they are at turning losses to gains. It takes some time to get there, so if you have a girl with a trait that fits (Or Nicole or a PHD, they can do anything well) that'll give you a leg up.

Advertiser is also vital. Hostess will be an additional money gain.

As soon as you can, get the Brokers and Investors going. Brokers can convert reputation into opportunities for training and cash, and Investors will give you passive traits which you can leverage into fat stacks.

Nicole's additional videos including finishers. I've pared them down as best as I can.

If you have three girls hired and you're not sure what to do next, hit the big pink button in the center of the club screen, assign one of the girls to work the booths. And work the booths.

In Normal Mode, you should be able to start by getting Basic Club, then the free Booths, grab at least one girl, then the policy to have them dance.

In Scramble Mode, you'd start by getting the Basic Club, Booths, and then the Policy, and you'll have your first girl and two recruit candidates.

If a check is letting you get below 0 hiring girls alone, there's a problem I need to fix on my end. If the club is just costing you too much money to get going at level 1 club, a starter girl should be able to pull in enough to make money if you work the booth game.

---------------------------------

As for changing the JSON files in the Girlpacks, this is fully intended that you be able to do this. You are encouraged to customize the girls and their costs and stats to your liking. https://f95zone.to/threads/venuss-club-software-for-edit-and-listing-girlpack-v1-0-95.66512/ is allegedly a good tool to help with this (though I've not yet used it myself, looking at it, it's very decent).

This is valuable feedback, and I will be putting better conveyance in future patches. Having new (and returning) eyes on the game is very useful, thank you.

I'm not sure what point is considered "finished" with Nicole, I had done Bar/Tennis dates, unlocked all costumes and had her willing to do HJs or somesuch (don't particularly remember), there was also the whole bit of "go on dates, grab those sex scene icons", don't believe I finished that one.. either way..
Thing is, if I set all girls to rest, I'd lose around 2k or so, if I had them work, I'd not only lose seemingly _all_ of the income that they generated (around 25-30k or so) but it would also actively get deducted from my current cash, did not have accountant (didn't much care about losing some income, 'cause I still got fat stacks), have Advertiser, Secretary and Trainer assigned. Have 4 investors and broker unlocked. Point is - after hitting the final club upgrade the income goes nuts.. I'm pretty sure it's bugged since I doubt that going from 20k+ income per night to -20k can be considered "upgrade".

Not sure how game used to be or somesuch, but at the moment of trying this update you start (new game classic) with 0 girls and depending on what packs installed - you might not even be able to hire a single one, as pointed out previously - you need to hire 3 to advance the "quest chain" but you only realistically have money for 1. So it's softlock _unless_ you edit description.json.
Quickly hopping into scramble mode and I can't sign contract with first girl because it wants 250$ but I have 0. Edit: actually bought booth and dance upgrade and do have rando girl available.. My bad for trying to "recruit 3" :p

Then yes, it definitely needs to be reflected in the "tutorial missions". As of right now it's "buy 3 girls and come back to me" then "buy the booths" which is impossible.
How much money per tick does your girl make in the booth?

I hire a basic 0-stat girl for 300... get the dance policy so she can work (button under the club improvements)...

Start the day...

and end with 260, a little bit of dance, a little bit of openness, and enough energy to go again

Definately need an Accountant.

Having one girl able to work is not a softlock. Once you have your one girl, make sure you have the policy to dance, and you can start.

The need to have the policy to dance to start was in v8.1, and I've done nothing to change this.

-------

For Scramble mode:
1654775548933.png
Recruiting girls, you can't do anything, so instead, get improvements.
1654775631509.png 1654775654653.png

A new button appears, and it informs me I have 1 girl hired already. So I go to the policies button:

1654775686559.png -> 1654775736449.png

and voila:

1654775790310.png

I can work my first night.

In Normal Mode, you need to recruit someone with your starting 300 before buying the policy. In Scramble Mode, you get a free girl so you can skip that.

You might want to clarify in the instructions (and not just in the quoted section) that the main program needs to be run in order to generate the Girlpacks folder, otherwise people are likely going to just look for a folder that doesn't exist.

My bad, I was trying to follow the laid out steps which led to this particular confusion. But yes, can proceed if you ignore the "buy 3 girls" bit.. which is misleading to have it as the first step imo.

Also, wow, having accountant does "fix" income, but holy shit that's one wild swing..

I will if/when I get control of the thread. Tobe and I are working on that.

They're goals to work towards, not requirements to start. But this is good feedback. Thank you.

Please understand, the intent is not to bring in an old v8.1 club under v9.4. The intent is more of a rogue-lite experience, starting from scratch and trying a different way. So powerspikes that feel stark on an old club feel more gradual. In a fresh game, that club's accountant will have experience at Club 5 and so you wouldn't be losing money to waste. In fact, at that point the money is rolling in, the Brokers are constantly churning, and you're more concerned with how to close out the game (if you're playing Crown Jewels) and get your connection flowing to do that.

I am not verry good att modding files and create a work around, can you not just add 10 X to the starting money, $3000 should be enough to get over the threshold and moving forward in the game? And what about importing the current "goods" from the previous game version, is that doable at all?

You need one girl, and the dance policy, and you have enough to go forward. You can have a completely cashless start, and go forward. Scramble mode will always be a cashless start, by intention. Normal Mode will always start with 300 money because that's the default cost for a girl in the game if she has nothing else set in her Description.JSON.

This is fully intentional and will not be changing. Your first openning night in your club has always been intentionally starting from 'zero'. Sometimes you'll get lucky and that first night will get you enough cash to bring in your second girl. Sometimes you'll need to work that girl a second time. You're building from scratch.

But then one girl turns to three girls. Three girls turns to Six. Six turns to a fully stocked set of services. You open the third booth. Now the cash is flowing. You bring in the lounge and a girl to teach. Six girls turns into Nine girls. A girl reaches enough openness that your reputation grows. You bring in an Advertiser. Now you're offering more in the dances.

The game is about the snowball. Start with almost nothing... and build it up to a full brothel. You'll rake in the cash soon enough.

I think the game is may be a bit too easy to get started actually. The endgame is also a bit of a mess. At some point I got like $400k from a broker mission and was able to just buyout all the upgrades. Made the ending really anticlimactic. Also, once you get all the upgrades, all that's basically left to do is watch porn. Not that that's bad. You can start over I guess, which makes the roguelike game modes more appealing.

The game probably is in need of a balance pass. Girl stats are pretty meaningless, by the time you can afford the crown jewel girls in that particular game mode, the game is essentially over. There's no real challenge. Maybe add some upkeep costs to the girls or a tax system.

Game's never been designed to be 'hard'.

That said, I do agree that the snowball might be a bit too much.

CJs are intentionally rediculous. That mode is intentionally like that.

I'll probably be retweaking broker rewards and algorithms for next patch, as well as the rewards for finishers. I'm going to probably pare down the effect club level has on certain mechanics, and go from there.

Balance is an ongoing deal, power creep happens and getting it reined in is always a concern. I'll be doing math passes in the next patch.
