You can, as the story progresses. Also in the MC room, you can see on what days with whom.

At the beginning of the game, you have a choice whether to disable gay content or not. But you will not be able to avoid a strap-on

I got the same problem if you saved the game goes back to before entering the classroom but do not mouse click to move MC. Let the dialog " go talk to Alex" show up first" then you can continue dating.
