Man I hate these Unity 3D games, they are always laggy as hell >.>
Then stop using a turd with jumper cables dude....

I play this mother fucker on MAX EVERYTHING and still get over 100 fps sorry dude but this game being laggy is your computer blowing ass.

@flyRenders I haven't got a chance to play this new update as I been VERY busy with playing the closed alpha of Rend. I will try and take some time tonight and go through and do my usual bug hunt and give ya the two cents.

Sure, it's very possible that this update is heavier than the last updates, because we added more trees which are more detailed, also grass + wind effects. This is an experiment to see if we should keep the better graphics or the old ones.

Please take a minute and vote if the game runs smoothly or not while playing v1.5.0.

I've a relatively low end system, so I imagine it won't run well for me, but I've been wrong plenty of times before. I never expect my ole stock HP from 2012 to keep up at all, but it's a neat way to help figure lowest denominator for devs/tech support. If your PC is newer than mine, and running a graphic intensive game worse, you need to do some maintenance/critical thinking for your PC problems because it isn't the game. I booted up, left all settings as they were and ran directly into the forest, then along the water to test the lagginess for low end PCs. At its lowest I'd say it dropped to.. 18 fps. And that was in the midst of the forest, sprinting. As soon as I stopped moving, it went back up to a mostly smooth 30 fps or so. The water was the same, a bit laggy upon movement and approach, but hardly unplayable. In the village, everything was pretty smooth, too. I never noticed any drops.

TL;DR: my PC performed exactly how I thought it would, ~25 fps average without adjusting settings, etc. Hardly unplayable.

@flyRenders I have just tried playing version 1.40 and my frame rates are better. Of course, most of the problem is on my part, but I can see the difference with your new trees.

If you wish to keep advancing towards a better looking game feel free to go on. The game is playable, only a bit laggy from the old computer I use.

Can you give me your PC specs? We're using a 50$ GPU and i3 CPU for testing and it runs with more than 40 FPS in the forest and around 70 when shadows are off. I can send you a dev build, where you can see the FPS.
i got a amd Fx-9590 and a msi r390 gpu both are watercooled and overclocked

My Malwarebytes Premium says that the file is infected. Therefore I had to delete it and didn't have the chance to play it... I'll wait for future uploads. Thanks anyway though.

I don't know about the mirrors, but if you download the file from the Mega links, you shouldn't have a problem. If you are too worried about the launcher, when you open the folder you can just open the "Game" folder and start Vikings Daughter.exe manually.

In my opinion, the most important graphics in a game like this are the character details. Everything else doesn't really need to be that fancy. It is good for atmosphere, but you shouldn't lose what is the focus of the game and end up lowing the performance for something that is secondary.

Just my opinion.

You might need to right click (or ctrl-click) and then select "Open" to get around Mac security settings. You may need to also disable Gatekeeper by setting System Preferences -> Security & Privacy -> Allow apps downloaded from "Anywhere" I highly recommend turning that back on after you start the game, if you do end up needing to allow apps downloaded from "Anywhere"
If that does not work, you may open the terminal and type
chmod a+x SomeApp.app/Contents/MacOS/*
Where SomeApp is whatever your .app folder is named.
I tried that but it always says No such file or directory, and I believe I got the last version working its just this one that freezes as soon as it starts

We are currently adding options to decrease the grass density, which will improve the performance a lot, in case you have a low end GPU. I agree that the characters and the sex scenes are important, but environment and story are important too. Most of the NSFW devs are making porn and adding a game to it, while we are doing it the other way around.

I don't have monster pc, so new build was kinda a bit more glitchy for me as well. It even completely freeze one time in h scene, when i tried to move camera... too quickly maybe. But other than that, it's very much playable. I kinda agree with NaoSoul, is that i prefer smooth performance in unity game. And graphics from previous build was good enough for me. New archer minigame was very fun though, much more than expected. A bit challenging even for my mouse. I very much like story and quests there so far. It's definitely something fresh. Girls looks very good too.

Thanks, as I said we are working on a feature that improves the performance and reduces the grass patches amount on the terrain, you will be able to get a good FPS while playing, but you will see less grass, as you said, it's not really important for anything other than visual effects.
