Ah, the ol' Cavia special - "fuck the players and fuck you, specifically, for playing this game". So this one, obviously.
In all seriousness, this is the better option for reasons everyone else has enumerated. The less you trust the players - including me - to have any technical awareness, consideration, or even basic reasoning skills, the better, and the less headaches you'll give yourself.

Historically they probably wouldn't even be halfway to Vinland in that amount of time.
Actually, it's thought the whole trip, while knowing the way, didn't take more than two weeks (from Greenland).
Obviously, they didn't have to make a porn game in the meantimes, lucky them!

Well I blame worldhistory.org for telling me that each expedition was thought to have lasted between one and three years. That's what I get for just taking something I found in the very first link I opened without double checking, it was probably talking about the first expeditions trying to find the land Bjarni Herjólfsson saw.

Game is realy good so far, good quality renders, a fun story and it's got humor which makes it even better, any news on the next update tho?
Thank you for your positive words. I'm still slowly working on the next update. For now, Gudrid's part is 3/4 done with 234 renders and... that's it.

I've always done Freydis after Gudrid, for two reasons:
1. it protects me from the temptation of releasing the update halfway done once Freyfrey's part is finished
2. I can put all my experience and ideas I get from working on Gugu into Freyfrey
