i dont believe there is anything that will straight up convert. its been a very long time since i used a VAC file, but if i recall the only way to truly make a 100 percent change from one to the other is if everything that was in the VAC has also been itself converted to a VAR file so that the newly created VAR can attach itself to the dependencies of the resources it uses. However VAR files also pull in any resource that isnt in its own VAR (for example, i use Wolmarc eyelashes alot. they are not a VAR file so every time i make a look, VAM includes the texture file itself in the archive). So theoretically you could load the VAC file and then try to save it as a new VAR archive and see if VAM pulls all the necessary items like textures and whatnot into the VAR. Cannot say how well that will work out though.

Unfortunately that "glitch" was patched a couple months back. It worked great on v26 and was harder to achieve on v27 but still attainable. As of v28 up to what is current now (v31.1) it no longer works.

However, FB has finally opened up the AR API to developers and end-users can turn that API "on" using ADB, but, it is very limited in it's current iteration and completely useless for what we, in this community, may wish to do.

Perhaps in a future firmware they'll finally allow the API to be used globally which will bring back the old "glitch" of v26 which, if any of you got to try, was absolutely mind blowing.

The API allows finer grained controls of contrast and brightness allowing a user to fine-tune the environment to their liking to balance out different room lighting.

And here I sit patiently awaiting such an update. Oh how I wish I blocked the update to my Quest!
