Does anyone know how to save a scene with zhfx's MMD player with a specific MMD/VMD file selected? The MMD player only lets me select a file using the plugin's UI, but I want to save scenes with a VMD file already selected upon loading. If you select the files, save the scene and reload the scene, the files are not selected anymore. Is there a way to do this?

Presuming you downloaded it from page 1, you only need the creator keys from page 1 to 'unlock.' Simply install 1.19, run it in desktop, click the key button, insert the key, update to 1.20. If you've already updated to 1.20, then use that creator key. If you meant the alpha for 2.0, it's been shared somewhere earlier here, just search the thread. In November, you asked about 'where the patch is.' That was a reference for back when people were still using Windows 7 and the updater required a fix; it's available below the program download and torrent. If you have some anomalous issue, you should be more forthcoming. The community here is a bit burned and butthurt so we don't speak up much on vague comments that have been addressed dozens of times already here and in the archived mod asset thread. Actually, I guess I'm only speaking for myself, but I noticed no one else spoke up in a couple days to your plea to the void.
What are you asking for? The latest version of VAM 1 or the alpha for VAM 2.0? The latest version for VAM is obtained easily by downloading 1.19, entering a creator key on the main menu page, then running the updater. Or update and use the 1.20 creator key. All is available on the 1st page of this thread. After 1.19 there was no independent .exe file to install VAM; that's why it's the most recent one available on page 1. All updates after 1.19 were pushed through the updater program in the main VAM folder. If you're looking for the alpha of 2.0, it's been shared to the asset release, previously linked in this thread. 2.X AlphaI hope someone (hero) will share the latest version of vam from mega, anonfile, drive or zippyfile. because I can't update it (please)

Also, the presets folder is always empty. I have downloaded some assets and the presets are always empty. As well as the clothing presets and looks. Is this because of the version I have or I did something wrong?

Im not Bob lol but although Im not an expert in physiognomy his models always look older to me, there are a lot of teens (18-19) that are very slim and may look younger but i believe there are measuring body techniches to determine the age of a person.
I also know some people play with the sliders and can modify a percectly legal vam character to look younger, was that the case Krosos? because i never saw this particular model with those default body dimensions inside VAM.

Body alone isn't a good indicator it's a combination of many things there can be very young looking asians for example a 18 year old can easily look like a 16 year, especially if you want it to be percepted like that from a digital source you can do this with all kind of tricks you can fool perception but going into full child direction you have to want this.

So, it's always best to be as specific as possible to what you're referring. I don't know exactly what kind of "assets" you've downloaded. Assets in VAM terminology generally are scene objects or environments. There's also asset bundles. If you mean you've downloaded VARS that are supposed to have presets that can be loaded, the presets generally unpack/save/should be placed/can be found in the following locations based on type:

If you mean to say you're looking for the scenes/looks/clothing/hair/etc. you've downloaded, It depends on what you did with them. Vars go in the AddonPackages directory. Simple enough. If there's scenes (even many "looks" are designed as scenes), you can find them in the main open screen or by clicking on the star from the UI menu, or even open scene folder.
To find appearance looks, you open the UI menu [ U ], select edit[E], choose next character[N] and in control and physics 1 you'll find a box near the top for load looks. Here you can also save the looks that otherwise would only open as a scene. This will allow you to use the look in other scenes (make sure you have the correct person highlighted (cycle through [N] until you've chosen the person's menu you want).
From the open character menu you can choose clothing to search your clothing assets or hair to search your hair assets, female morphs to search your installed morphs, etc.
Old packaging VAC scenes go in Saves/scenes. It's best to keep their oft-included jpg with them in that folder with the same file name.
Sometimes they have associated look jsons that go in saves/person/appearances. Do the same with those jpgs; I often copy the jpg into the scene and appearances folder (there's probably a better way to do that). That way, when VAM creates thumbnails when perusing them in scenes or looks in the program, it won't just appear as a white box. If you downloaded individual clothing files (common file extensions are .vab, .vaj, .vam), it's custom/clothing/female (or male)/; hair is custom/hair/female (or male)/; plugins are in custom/scripts; assetbundles are in custom/assets; morphs are custom/atom/person/morphs/... and so on. Does that help?
