Woha, you guys really helped a lot! Appreciate it very much!
Thanks xvAresvx, moc587, Tomboy Enjoyer and AlternateDreams ! You guys rock! :)

P.S. Another small question that isnt pressing, but still would help if somebody advises on it.
I tried using VAMvarmanager and some other sorting app that was supposed to help me fix up my files - remove redundant ones, update old ones, etc...
But I guess i didnt manage to understand well how it works, did some stuff, and now its full of these folders called addonpacksswitch, VamVar backups and shortcut folders to the AddonPackages folder, that basically messed up the whole thing, and I cant seem to get rid of them or revert them back to normal. And i fear I will loose all my scenes and downloaded things, if I try to manually move things around and delete things.
Any advice on this dumb mess I created?
Have you tried var browser? I think I've mentioned it a couple times here before but I cannot recommend this enough.
Varbrowser moves outdated or invalid vars to another folder within your vam folder so you can check and delete or whatever IF you are clicking on the given options within the new overlay.
The installation is pretty simple and is given on the hub. You only have to rename your addonsfolder to allpackages and copy some files to your main vam directory if Iam not wrong.
The plugin manages the vars differently and installs only the stuff you need. You can wipe your new addonspackages every once in a while if things getting slow again but you are not loosing anything.
Best bet is to make a backup copy of your vam folder (Except the cache folder) to another drive to make sure if you mess up.
Its kinda crucial in my opinion. I dont wanna loose my work.
But you never know if something craps everything up and you have to start over from an older backup.
I will release a reworked lapdance scene pack if Iam not loosing my data :KEK:

Long story short, VAM does not run in "exclusive fullscreen" and so AFMF cannot hook into it.

I had to look into this because it worked for me with not much issue, but turns out I did a registry edit previously to supersede the windows setting "disable fullscreen optimizations", since Windows no longer respects that option with newer builds of Windows 10 and Windows 11.

You will need to do the registry edit (i wont link that) and either edit "VaM (Desktop Mode).bat" to add these flags, OR create a shortcut to "vam.exe", then go to the properties of the shortcut, click the "shortcut" tab and add those flags to the "target" textbox.
Then disable fullscreen optimizations in the properties then "compatibility" tab of the .exe if you edited the .bat or in the shortcut if you made on of those.

Hope that helps.

Code:
 -force-d3d11 -popupwindow -screen-width 2560 -screen-height 1440 -screen-fullscreen 1 -window-mode exclusive
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
if i create a shortcut to "vam.exe",Do I still need to edit the registry?

I'm trying to remember the name of a particular author I liked, I think their name was a woman's name or something similar, they had a bunch of scenes with cowgirl action synced to music, one I particularly remember was "pogo stick", can anyone remember their name so I can look them up? Their free scenes were good

I tried this Lossless Scaling frame gen and upscaling over some games, thinking it wouldn't be that good.
God damn, it's so good, now I really want a mod of this for VR @_@

How to edit the registry
I should correct myself, since AFMF2, there is technically support for borderless fullscreen. It does not seem to matter for VAM however. I don't recommend messing with the registry if you don't know what you are doing, but if you are so inclined, try searching "exclusive fullscreen registry edit" for a tutorial.

You may want to try the "Lossless scaling" app linked here (Or buy it on steam) as it now supports MFG. Meaning you can more than 2x the framerate, which is the current limit for AFMF2, AFAIK.

But it will add some noticeable input lag right?
If this ever will work with VR, it will be a motion sickness fest.

Yes, run the LosslessScaling and VAM. click on the scale button and switch back to VAM. if you do this right you should see before and after FPS on the top left corner. I also use these settings.
