for nubs: I unzipped the game to a folder and used the non-vr patch and overwrote the file of the same name. started the exe, and it worked fine. idk how you all mess that up

I need help.
I followed the directions Installation for the 1.0 without VR.
The game is starting and I can see the English menu.
Keyboard and mouse control operate as described, I can freely move or resize the screen .
But on the screen I do not see any marker that I could do any action, for example run a tutorial, config or start.
Can anyone give me advice?

For anyone else having issues with the game being stuck in Japanese:

Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\illusion\VRKanojo\VRKanojo in regedit and delete the whole fucking thing.

Any adjustments needed can be done \VR Kanojo\UserData\setup.xml.
InitSetting.exe can eat a dick, and not a nice futunari one.

for us dumb people what do you change in the setup.xml exactly to change to english? I went into the regedit and deleted what you said but it's still subbed in japanese.

Nevermind, read back and found what I needed to do, got it to stay on english, thanks to the previous comment.

I did exactly the same thing. Unpacked game version 1.0 to a folder, unpacked the patch, copied Assembly-CSharp.dll from the patch to the correct folder, and got this error message:

We are sorry, but a HMD is required to enjoy VR Kanojo.
