OK so the update is FULL with content(even though on paper it says its JUST 2 in game days it has WAY more than that comparing to the last update) with a LOT of dialogue and events that moves the plot forward (which is probably im guessing the main reason the update took so long) lots of choices that give different scenarios and lots of choices leading to optional sex or lewd scenes(Like man there are about 17+ lewd scenes with 9 or more different girls or more from what I have played when choosing the different choices)...Haruka FINALLY gets some screen time and some more characterization! Yes! I feel that I can understand why the game took so long with all the sex scenes and all the time I think he had to sort out his messy plot and how to advance it forward... I guess waiting 6-9 months will be the new update release speed for the dev. I dont know if the dev even comes to the thread anymore but I just wanted to say this was a GREAT update and to keep soldiering on

The game over choices have been a thing since the initial release.

I thought Irphaeus had been too heavy-handed with the puns and attempts at wit in the last update or two, and the first 5 minutes of this update were the same (not very funny, unfortunately). However, after sticking with this update and just now completing it, I really think this is one of his best updates to date. A couple of blue balling scenes to kick things off were a bit annoying, but there was a good deal of story progression, a lot of connecting the dots, and side characters are getting more involved in important matters now. The actual sex scenes were damn good, too.

Edit: The menus look great too, but it's the tiniest bit inconvenient that a single button press doesn't take you to the save menu anymore.

I gotta wonder though, were the few moans I heard really the extend of the voice acting? Was someone really hired just to gasp and say "ooh" and "ahh" a few times? I heard zero dialogue. Also, as has been consistent for a while, there were a surprisingly high number of typos, and I noticed that they appeared more frequently as the update went on. Still, I don't seem to have the popular opinion according to what everyone else is saying, but I thought this was a 5/5, stellar update. I wasn't bothered by the wait because, A) I played the last update a couple months after its release, and B) I forgot all about Waifu Academy and have barely been playing porn games at all for many months now.

Anyway, bottom line for people wondering if this update is worth downloading, is yes. It's got some rocky moments and some annoying dead ends - we've seen plenty of these up until now, so maybe it's time to cut them out? - like shadowdecade pointed out, but it's back to the usual Waifu Academy goodness that I think made people love the game in the first place.

They have been, but I remember him mentioning he was adding branching choices and stuff in this update which was really cool...and I thought it meant more choice trees that led to scenes like the bathroom scene. That would make the game more replayable for people to go through all the scenes. But then it turns out a lot of those are not really intuitive and just lead to game overs or "try again" from the choices again. At least have something interesting happen, right? I remember at one of the choices it was Turn Left, Turn right, or a third option. If you turned right, it just led to a dead end with nothing happening and made you pick again from the 3 choices. What is the point of that? If at least I got there and i saw something interesting it would make some sense. So now instead of it being more replayable, I just know what choices to avoid now when i wanna play through it again, theres nothing else worth trying out...

I totally agree with your post though.Based on the merit of the update itself and not the time it took, it's a pretty decent update. He's roughed out the edges a little and made the game better.

I see that many people do not know why I must emphasize:
The karma system is not implemented.
Currently you can get all the scenes in the game but not all have their route done.
The current route to be taken is the neutral (or at least that's what she said in the proterozoic eon).
The hardcore and vanilla routes have not been implemented for three updates as of now, although you can see their scenes.

hm, i think everyone agree that the game felt short for a 9 months update, even though i can't say the content was bad.

Still, sometimes it felt that the dialogue were unnecessary long for no real reason (for example talk in the morning with Otaku)
I found a lot and i mean a lot of bad typo and proofreading error and i am no eagle eye! it really fet like an unedited version.
Finally, i found some renders awful, i have in mind one with Tomoe on the couch where her panties seems to be intertwined with her flesh.

tldr: So, content wise it was meaty but not as meaty as one would expect after 9 months as for the quality control, it felt like a rushed job after 9 months. So, there is no way he worked on that for 9 months, 3 months at best.

They removed the train scene with Minami, removed the dog scene? RIPPP asuka has to somehow carry this game now... Can we not see the -69 karma scene with Asuka in the new update? Even in just the gallery, could not find

Well this is getting rather stressful with this story. Rather more sex scene's then the drama myself and I hate everything to do with Faris. Love to have a fun update thats a lot lighter then the the constant worry of solving some crime. Just my thoughts. Also don't like setting girls up with Faris im trying to bang or him getting his damn hands on them or getting to see them naked lol.... wth harem game.

So Played it and yep Not good... he didn't work on this for 9 months I'm starting to think he didn't work on this properly until about 3 months ago.

Also Still no progress with too many of the girls lots of writting and lots of spelling mistakes even with all the Proofreading going on.... and some, blueballing but barely any progress in the game. Irphaeus needed to step up with this update and he failed for me.
And how have you still not implemented the Karma system yet? an year and a half he's been teasing this and he still has not to managed put this in his game just more news saying at some point this is the so and so scene for when it's implemented into the game and when will this be in the year 3000 when the Jetsons crash land.

More and more I'm starting to think the Dev has lost intrest in this game now nothing else makes sense to me all the delays excuses and lies I think he does not really want to be making this anymore. prove me wrong Irphaeus would make me very happy.

I played again from the beginning and I still have those scenes. So I don't know how your problem is. sorry.

What even is this game anymore? This entire update felt like everything fell completely off the rails. Nothing he was supposed to do happened because everything kept getting side tracked. I'm honestly at a loss.

I can't honestly say if I enjoyed the update or not because so much of this was bogged down with derailing side story stuff that almost any and all interaction with most of the girls was no where to be found.

Getting over on Yoko (fucked up because the choice to not give into her sexytime, still lead to it anyway so I'm really not sure why we gained or lost karma on that one)
Spending time with Kaori, nada (but we do see a lot of her, there's almost no interaction)
Any kind of progress with Motoko? Nope.

Honestly, I get the fucking revenge crap is the main part of the story, but it was little too thick in this update. First with the stuff happening at the school with Rachel and then the stuff happening during the Ad Photoshoot. And both of those things took up a significant chunk of the two days time.
