In old movies and cartoons when the scene is supposed to convey nothing happening for comedic effect the way they did is to show an empty field or some such, typically in the desert somewhere and play no sound other than chirping crickets. That or a tumbleweed passing through.
And the whole thing would typically be juxtaposed with a feeling of imminent expectation on behalf of the character being mocked. Expectation that the whole audience knows to be false.

My theory is that while his upload was at 95% he decided to play the current update and wasn't happy about it. So he cancelled the uploading and decided to take a nap so that he can start thinking fresh what to add in this update to make it more interesting.
