Is this Might and Magic? Looks freaking awesome! Will wait for more updates though XD

edit: Btw, I don't think that axe in the banner is physically viable. The flimsy looking handle could never support that weight, especially when he's holding it at the very end like that.

Wow, this looks really cool. I remember playing HoMM 3 to death. Love that game.

Now the only question that remains is: what does "version 1.0.1" mean. Does that mean that we can play for 10 minutes after which there is no more content, or does this actually have some content already?

I used to play a lot of HoM&M 2 and 3 as a kid. I always liked those games, and yes, the mechanics did inform a lot in how the combat system in this game was designed.

Keep in mind, the original HoM&M 3 had like 60 people work on it including 7 programmers... Working solo, it took me some months to build up a large amount of renders for the bestiary, plan out the stats and special abilities, sort out the hex grid logic, pathfinding algorithms, custom design the AI for different types of units, build a leveling system, loot system, stat system, dialogue system, etc. You won't see many devs try to tackle this sort of game because it's a lot of work and not 'low hanging fruit'...

But, I always wanted to make a game like this, and if people support it, I'll keep expanding it.

Played for a bit. Loots promising. The gameplay was pretty fun (and pretty good for such an early version) and even the writing wasn't bad.

At some point, after alt-tabbing, the game left me unable to pan over the map and select/click things though -- which basically means I was stuck. I could basically only go into my army/character screen.
There also isn't a save function. Didn't really feel like repeating what I had already played. So I just quit there. I'll just check back in the future, when this game is a bit more complete.

Besides that, especially the UI seemed to be lacking and incomplete. Though non of that is unexpected for such an early version. The UI also was really tiny on my 1440p monitor. Especially the continue button is fking tiny.

So from what I've played, especially the UI could use some work and the game really needs a save function. Though I'm guessing the dev is aware of all that -- because it's pretty obvious.

So far, a tentative thumbs up from me. Looks promising.

Yes, actually I already have some femdom stuff planned... lol
add there some futadom as well, make the game more appealing to broad dom-audience.
and dont forget ntr, please, or there will be ntr-lobby ripping this thread apart!
of course, some pregnancy, should be added also, along with a fair share of orcincest...;)

in short, good luck with your game and this thread!(y)

I used to play HOMM3 way back when - loved it!

Have you thought about making Mac and Linux builds? They're pretty easy:
