The fantasy of the wannabe patriarch is that all women are his slaves and all* other men are dead. To some who play these porn games to live out that fantasy, a single woman existing who is not their slave, or a man who exists and is not dead, shatters the fantasy and they scream, "NTR! NTR!" Their egos cannot tolerate it.

*Sometimes a patriarch can tolerate the existence of men, so long as those men are his close buddies and said buddies adopt an absolutely submissive position relative to him.
That is quite literally the plot of MIST.

It's the plot of a disturbing number of these games, actually! And that number grows exponentially when you're willing to stretch the definition of "dead": A popular option in Japan right now is the, "In the future, 99.999% of all males will be impotent, you the MC are the one male who is capable of getting an erection and ejaculating so while there are still other men technically around, impregnating all the women around you is your exclusive right. Don't think too hard about what this will do to the gene pool in the long term."

The amount of logical and ethical questions related to a fantasy role playing porn game it's too damn high.

Why can't you people just enjoy things? Especially free things.

If you don't like something, just move on...
Intellectually engaging with a work through criticism is not the same thing as not enjoying it, neither is it a form of attack. Honestly, the opposite is true: Refusing to think about the media you consume only makes sense if you believe it has no value. It's unfortunate how literary criticism has become diluted into "writing a bad review" in the hyper-capitalistic way we interact with stories.

Its like I walked into the wrong forum.

What part remotely felt like NTR to you guys ?
I was just making fun of the folks who get really butthurt at the protagonist not getting to fuck his moms during the prologue. It's not remotely NTR, unless you're a weird incel who sees every woman you encounter as being your sexual property by default.

Criticism it's always welcome from my point of view. I've opened a gallery recently and actually that's all I am looking for: people who tell me how to improve and what it's wrong from their point of view.

BUT. But you can't argue on some silly points like "that's unrealistic" or "can't believe he's the only male in the game fucking around" or "that doesn't apply in real life".

I mean, seriously? It's a game.
Some reviews sound like someone whining on how Super Mario was breaking bricks with his fist and growing size after having eaten a mushroom, just to jump on some turtle's head and walking turds just to have a kiss from an unbangable spoiled princess.

There is constructive criticism and pointless criticism.
Now try to read some of the comments of the last pages and tell me which one you find most.

Not that it's my type of game or story, but shouldn't there be room for everyone without being called an incel or such?

All that matters is if a game is consistent throughout its development with what the dev promised. If somebody wants to write a game/story without any other meaningful male characters that's just as legitimate as the opposite approach. There's certainly demand for both.

The only thing that's really not ok is people trying to push their own narratives and fetishes on devs. And that basically goes both ways. Here in Wal! it's just as stupid to complain about NTR as it is to demand NTR, because both of these complaints/wishes are futile, as has been made clear several(?) times. But that still doesn't mean that other games are bad because they feature a different narrative.

Viressa didn't call anybody an incel in the comment you quoted, that was reserved for the people willfully misrepresenting WaL!'s MC's foster mothers doing their jobs as NTR.
Sure, he didn't, but if you read his three last posts combined the word it's not a word one should use in that context. Not that this was remotely the point of my post anyway.

I don't disagree, and I'm not at all trying to say that stories like that are necessarily bad: I enjoy plenty of them, Zombie's Retreat was one of my faves for example (though, that's more of a function of ScarlettAnn's art being amazing than anything). I also enjoy WEGs in other genres that I criticize as being deeply misogynist, like slave trainers (Four Elements Trainer, Free Cities), brothel management sims (Something Unlimited), or "You play a female character who gets raped constantly" (Noxian Nights, Claire's Quest, Degrees of Lewdity).

However, I also think it's good to intellectually engage with stories through criticism, rather than merely passively consuming them. And part of criticism is recognizing and understanding how and why bits of a story are misogynist (or racist, or homophobic, etc. but I'll stick with misogyny for my example), and how our society shapes these stories.

That doesn't mean, "if you get off to this story that has misogynistic aspects, then you're a bad person and you should feel bad." Stories are not real life. What you enjoy doing or thinking about in a secondary world, where there are no real people other than yourself, has no bearing on what kind of person you are in reality. In other words, enjoying WEGs where you get to be the Harem Master doesn't make you a patriarchal asshole any more than enjoying creatively blowing up the Earth in Universe Sandbox makes you an omnicidal psychopath.

This is a very thoughtful thing we got going on with all the verbose posts, but the simple question remains:

Where the fuck is Drunk MILF Elf at? It's been like, 4(?) Months since I last played I would've expected an update by now. Not to be rude but I haven't kept up with development and with such a quality game I expected it to be...hmmm...faster?
