As suggested by the name "compressed," the quality of the images and graphics are slightly lowered to save the space. Nothing is missing, only compressed down.

I really really hope the next update has more gameplay to it. Long unbroken cutscenes of the last two updates (and whenever the Myrtle travelling to mountains part was made) really takes me out. This is supposed to be a point and click adventure

Devs said it's going to be way more interactive than Gomira's. A months ago, the weekly report said this:
"What happens in the second half of 0.8's story changes the world around Holly a little, and while similar things have happened in the past and with other characters (say Rose and Abu Gadu, or Gomira's two trips), those usually took the player to new locations that prevented free-roaming. That's not the case in 0.8, and while the world changes temporarily, you can still interact with different characters. That feels nicer, but it has also posed new challenges."
So we can expect shorter cutscenes and more free roaming

I think links to android ports are no longer published in the OP. I guess you could try to find them using the search tab, or you could just visit the game's official website and download it for free.

Sure they say any planned content may be subject to change, but I would almost count on it.
This game is being developed by a married couple: Pistachio (the husband), who handles the coding and development, and Chestnut (the wife), who creates all the artwork for the game. I'm not certain if anyone else is involved, but perhaps moskyx could provide more information on that.
I don't like idea to finish some characters story very soon . They will be forgotten at the end of story( that obviously will be some years later at least) i think it's better to end each character story at last updates of game(near to ending as much as possible)

Touch all the characters a little bit, or focus on one character each update, that's an old debate, and the devs chose the latter. The fans like it more when they get a full storyline with a character within a single update. I personally agree. That feeling when you're building up to the greatest goon in ages, and suddenly the game hits you with "That's all the content for this update" is the worst.
For this game, some characters finishing soon isn't an issue actually. In the finished product, the newer quests may become available early within the game, alongside the older content. So when a character appears and when their story ends would be a big part up to the player.
Finishing characters stories is what we've been doing since Mrytle's update and that came out like 4 years ago. Mrytle, Lana, Rose, Gomira's storylines are all done and out of those 4 Lana is the only one that's relevant to the main storyline anyway. They're going to get some more planned scenes during the epilogue(the pregnancy content)

The 0.8 update has been officially pushed back to Q1 2026. Devs say they are happy with their work so far, so the polishing phase should be considerably shorter than Gomira's, but there's not enough time to properly complete the planned content in 2025. They also claim this update is larger than most of their previous ones (referring to 0.4, 0.5, and 0.6).

Still, even without an official announcement, that's how long most of us were expecting it to take, so it's not that much of a bad news
